Tossin Pizza Hill Road Bandra | Best Pizza in Mumbai — Restaurant in Mumbai

tossin, which already has its foot in Gurgaon and other places, has recently opened up a new outlet and probably the first outlet in Mumbai which is located in the posh area of Bandra.

It's a very small place with the seating capacity of around 15 people but has been really nicely done. the decor is a simplicity yet eye soothing combination. One wall has been done with pretty lamps whereas the other one is adorned with a single huge mirror to add depth to the place which I think is a very innovative idea.

We ordered for the following-

half and half peri peri veg and authentic veg pizza- since I was confused between so many options to choose from the owner suggested I go for a half and half 9 inch pizza. Authentic veg- authentic veg had all these exotic veggies along with pineapple. this was the first time ever that I had a pizza with a pineapple in it and it wasn't as bad as I expected. The pizza crust was soft Italian style and was loaded with veggies and generous amounts of mozzarella cheese. 4\5

Peri peri veg- peri peri veg was a spicy pizza with some nice veggies including spinach. Believe it or not, i do like spinach on my pizza. Adds a bit of uniqueness to the dish! The hot flavor of peri peri comes out really well while the cheese has it's own distinctive flavor! They also have dips to mellow down the spices, just in case you feel like. Since i love spice, i loved this one and would definitely recommend it to people who want some adventure with their taste buds. 5\5

Meat lovers- this is a pizza strictly for people that enjoy the flavor of raw meat. The pizza had an assortment of red meat toppings with the likes of bacon, ham, mutton chunks, and crispy pepperoni. There is also a hint of chicken with some marination though the taste of red meat dominates the piquancy of the pizza. The pizza is mildly spicy and all the meats were really fresh smelling (not one of the frozen ones). Go for it if you are a red meat fan, this is some stuff you don't usually come across at pizza joints. 4\5

Laal maas- this pizza was prepared using traditional rajhasthani spices and tasted very similar to the meat preparations of the same name that you get in the states villages. The fundamental topping to this pizza is minced lamb marinated with hot spices. The pizza might actually be a bit hot for some people (but u can always ask for some dips or relishes to cool down the heat). Personal favorite. Must try. 5\5

This place strictly uses original mozzarella and not the packaged ones you get commercially. You can make out the difference by the stretch of the cheese and slightly milky flavor with a distinct baked mozzarella texture.

The crust feels about right not too chewy not very crispy just in the middle.

the concept of live kitchen just adds to the beauty of the entire place, especially when you get to see your pizza being made crisp and hot.

Service was nice, overall vibe of the place is lovely. Definitely worth a...

The restaurant has a strange structure where you enter by yourself and cannot see any person because they are all in the kitchen with the door closed and because the music is blaring in the sitting area it is quite difficult to get anybody's attention it is almost like they don't want us to dine in.

I took their menu intending to call them on the phone but there was no phone number and I used the app because it was the only option but it did say flat 15% discount on first order. I had never purchased anything from this shop (app or otherwise) so downloaded the app but did not get the discount at all. The order went through and I called them and asked about the discount and was told I should have got one but the person on the other end has to check. I said check and get back to me which he did not do. The pizza was fine but I was annoyed with the customer service and I went personally to the shop the next day to show them about me not getting a discount again it was difficult to reach everybody in the kitchen who was not accessible but finally a girl ( Maybe reshma) came and spoke to me and I explained the situation to her and she said she is only service staff and she does not know why I did not get the discount but she will for sure let her manager know and ask him to get back to me the next day, he was probably the person who had spoken to me the previous day as well as per her. I told her that even if there was no discount at least have the courtesy to call me and let me know and she assured me she would follow up but I did not hear from any of them after that though so I will never visit...

It was alright can't call it gourmet though! What you expect from gourmet is perfectly cooked food with the right balance of exquisite flavours, right? That totally isn't what you get from Tossin Pizza. I ordered a Hell's Barbeque Chicken. The mushrooms and spring onions weren't edible. Basically raw! I asked for a refund but the delivery guy just took the pizza and said it will be replaced. After some time I got the pizza. When I opened it it was the same pizza just like in the picture I had in my phone. They just removed the spring onions and mushrooms. And cooked it all again! Those ingredients probably were used in someone's else pizza which is disgusting to think about. The cheese literally had bumps which said that they removed the spring onions and mushrooms! Very horrible experience. My appetite and mood was just bad after that. I didn't bother to ask them fkr an exchange or anything. My appetite just was non existent...
