Vanilla Miel is an absolute gem that effortlessly combines culinary brilliance with stunning aesthetics. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a beautiful, thoughtfully designed interior that feels both elegant and cozy — the perfect ambiance for a relaxed brunch or a stylish coffee date.
The food? Simply unforgettable. The mushroom tart was a masterpiece. The buttery, flaky crust paired with the earthy, rich mushroom filling created a perfect balance of texture and flavor. It’s one of those dishes that you find yourself thinking about long after you’ve left.
The kimchi grilled cheese took this classic comfort food to a whole new level. Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, and served with just the right amount of cheese pull — every bite was a moment of joy. It’s indulgent but in the best possible way.
Then there’s the prawn roll, a showstopper of fresh, juicy prawns nestled in a soft, pillowy roll. The seasoning was spot on, and the balance of textures made each bite feel like a little celebration of flavor.
The smoothie bowl was, without exaggeration, to die for. Vibrant, fresh, and packed with flavor, it looked as good as it tasted. It was almost too pretty to eat — almost. Each spoonful was refreshing, healthy, and satisfying, making it an instant favorite.
Coffee lovers, rejoice! Vanilla Miel’s coffee game is strong. Their variety of brews caters to every preference, and every drink we ordered was superb. Whether you’re a flat white fan or an iced latte enthusiast, you’ll find a coffee to love here.
As if the food and drinks weren’t enough, the service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, warm, and genuinely seemed to enjoy being there, which only added to the experience. Special shout out to Neeyati, Isha & Mansi..
Vanilla Miel is a place you want to keep to yourself but also can’t help but tell everyone about. This is a spot that nails every element — food, drinks, service, and ambiance. It’s a solid 11/10, and I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat. Trust me, you’ll...
Read moreIf I have a favorite genre of café, it has to be the ones tucked away in the quaint gullies of Bandra. Vanilla Miel is exactly that kind of spot. The location is a little tricky to find, but that only adds to the charm, letting you explore the heart of true Bandra West. The best way to get there is on foot: get dropped off near Hawaiian Shack or, if you’re closer to Pali Village, near Jaihind Lunch Home.
Once you arrive, you’ll be transported to a dessert haven where you’ll likely want to devour everything in sight.
The seating is primarily upstairs, but the dessert displays on the ground floor are pure artistry. The way the desserts are presented makes you feel like you’re admiring edible works of art.
What Did I Eat?
I ordered the Chicken and Avocado Sandwich. Being a fool for chicken sandwiches, I couldn’t resist. It came with sweet potato crisps and was quite delicious. However, the portion size felt a bit smaller than expected for the price.
For dessert, I chose the Crème Brûlée Cruffin, and let me tell you, it was the highlight of my day. The vanilla custard was insanely smooth and flavorful, while the sugar crust on top was so perfectly caramelized that cracking it felt almost criminal—until you take that first bite. Then, all guilt vanishes in an instant.
I also had a cortado, which was excellent and the perfect way to end a sweet lunch.
Overall
I think this place is going to be a big hit. It’s ideal for dessert lovers, whether you’re eating in or taking treats to-go. If you’re a bookworm, I’d highly recommend bringing your favorite book and soaking in the ambiance for an unbeatable reading experience.
An Extra Tip: Their entremet cakes (those beautifully layered artistic creations) are perfect for special occasions. For your next birthday, you might want to “persuade” your friends to gift you one. They also have a DIY tart station where you can pour chocolate onto your dessert—a surefire way to awaken your inner child.

Read moreVanilla Miel is an absolutely beautiful cafe in the heart of Bandra. I had the pleasure of visiting it on the first day after the monsoons and the weather could not be any prettier, the gentle sunlight falling in from their expansive floor to ceiling windows. The interior decor of the cafe is absolutely impeccable, and it makes you feel so at peace to simply be there.
Being a lazy day, I opted for a simple brunch. Vietnamese phin coffee, a croissant and focaccia sandwich.
First, the coffee- It was delicious, strong and just the perfect blend of acridity being calmed by the sweetness of the condensed milk. However, I found it too heavily iced for my liking, but that's nothing a special request before making the coffee can't fix the next time I visit (and I will be for sure). My only gripe is that perhaps the quantity could be better.
The croissant is something I always try at any bakery/cafe if they have it. Vanilla miel's iteration of it was crunchy, buttery yet with a satisfying chew, a solid 8/10. While it will not take the title of my favorite croissant (that still belongs to Suchali's), it is absolutely worth trying if you like croissants.
Finally, the focaccia sandwich. Feeling like I hadn't metbmy protein goals for the meal, I chose to get a focaccia chicken sandwich. While the bread was great, and the veggies were very, very fresh, I felt the Mayo based sauce for the chicken was perhaps a bit too sweet and tangy. I would recommend requesting them to go lighter on the sauce, as with both the sweet tomato and the sweet sauce, it maybe a bit overpowering.
The staff were an absolute treat, not letting me sit more than 5 seconds with an empty bottle of water and helpfully explaining the menu and their recommendations.
I know this place is known for the desserts but I just couldn't sample it on this day, but I will 100% do that the next time I'm here. And I will for sure be.
8.5/10. Definitely...
