Hawaiian Shack — Restaurant in Mumbai

Some memories was past: I have been to Hawaiian Shack on 25th Dec 2010 & 26th Jan 2011 & believe me it was the best clubbing we had. We paid 800 per person. Food, crowd, music, ambiance everything was awesome.

So to recreate those memories we went on 24th 2016 night to celebrate one of our friend's birthday. The old Hawaiian shack is lost & took over by cheap crowd & music. We paid 1000 for couple & 1500 for Stag. (we were 3 couples & one stag). It seems like 800 was a bomb in 2010 which is why the crowd was good but in 2016 "1500" per couple is peanut & therefore attracting cheap crowd. Ground floor had decent crowd & English music but 1st & 2nd floor had JOPADPATTI crowd with Bollywood songs like "Sapne mein milti hai".. Dj played all dance bar songs that too original "NO REMIX".. 2nd Floor was the most shady place i have ever seen in a club. It was completely unsafe for ladies because the crowd was cheap and 95% men's crowd. There were hardly any girls on the floor & the moment we went on the dance floor all drunk eyes were on us. Both 1st & 2nd Floor were smelly & hot because air conditioned were set at 24C. Last but not the least it is now a pick up joint as well. We saw couple of escorts trying there luck on stag entries. Overall it is a shady place & they should stop STAG entry to retrieve their essence. My 2 stars are for the food & Ground floor music. There are other clubs in Mumbai better than Hawaiian Shack.. I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed with the quality of food and service. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, with dim lighting and comfortable seating. The menu offered a wide variety of dishes, from classic comfort foods to more exotic flavors.

Good place, ambience wouldn't say top notch but good....food was the yummiest though we had just the starters...I would give a full 5 star for food and drinks. Music was good but can't comment on DJ as did not have the privilege that night. I would say if you are a well known place where you have two floors, perhaps you could have an additional DJ arrangement especially on nights where you have celebrity party going on on one of your other floors. Why would you disappoint your other customers when they too are equally important to you? Staff service - good, courteous, helpful. Overall, enjoyed. Worth the money.
