I’ve really debated reviewing this hotel, especially after our check out encounter. We booked this hotel so that we would be able to store our bags and shower before starting a 30 hour journey home. After seeing the facilities and room, we were relieved we weren’t sleeping there - they weren’t the cleanest but we could deal with showering and leaving. They had showed us the room upon arrival, and when seeing my reaction, they were going to give us an other room, but ultimately checked us into the original. Initially the staff seemed very nice - until we checked out. We checked out around 11:30pm because we needed to go to the airport. I should note - the noise from the street that filtered into our room was incredibly loud (especially for that hour). When we went to the front desk to checkout, the agent immediately called his GM and put him on the phone with me. Keep in mind - I just wanted to checkout and head to the airport. The GM wanted to know how our stay was (typically something that could be asked by the front desk agent). I told him that the room wasn’t the cleanest, but I didn’t have time to discuss it. He became argumentative, and finally I told him I needed to go because our Uber had arrived. The front desk agent placed a Guest Register in front of me - next to my name were columns. If I was going to complain, I needed to sign the complaint column. If I wasn’t going to complain, I needed to sign the no-complaint column. Not wanting to argue, I signed the no-complaint column, but told the front desk agent, that the room wasn’t clean. He responded by telling me that I couldn’t post a negative review, or else their scores would go down. Honestly, it isn’t even the cleanliness of the room that I have issues with; it was the sketchy and uncomfortable checkout that did me in. I’ve run a hotel for years and never felt the necessity to pressure my guests into giving positive reviews and have never felt the need to contact guests at checkout. Do...
Read moreIt took us around 30 mins to reach the hotel from the airport in the afternoon.
After we checked in they only provide you with one soap and two towels.
The bed sheets looked clean but were like used or not cleaned properly. Maybe they need to change their laundry service!!!
The room was very clean and air condition was amazing worked very well.
They have a boiler system for hot water so need to call the receptionist at *9 to turn on the hot water when need. Some times the boiler doesn’t work so they provide you with water in buckets…. This in one area they need to improve on
Just as you walk out of the hotel you have the famous Linking Road for shopping. Got some amazing hotels just walking distance from the hotel.
They don’t have a full fledged kitchen so can only provide tea and coffee 24 x 7. Else you can order on zomato or Swiggy and get it delivered to your room. KFC, McDonald’s, Starbucks, Burger King, Tim Hortons are just 5 mins walks away.
They provide locker service at the reception to store your valuables.
Good hotel in a great location
The rickshaw stand is just outside the hotel and easily accessible by Ola...
Read moreWe decided to stay here after the taxi to Colaba from the airport took nearly 2 hours on arrival. It’s located in a market area in Banda West. Took half an hour from the airport on arrival in heavy traffic, 15 minutes on the way back (driven by a would-be F1 taxi driver). First appearances were that the hotel looks like a public hospital- concrete with bars on the windows. There is a slightly institutional feel on entering but the staff were friendly and the lad who showed us to the room was clearly proud to work there which is always a good sign. The room was fine, small but clean with ac and fan. Very little noise from the street below and bed was comfy. However for 3500INR I would expect hot water in the room. There are a number of western style bars and restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the hotel but no sights as such. As an airport overnight stay it was fine but you wouldn’t choose it as a base to visit Mumbai. Over priced too hence rating of 3. The room itself was a 4 but 2500 would have been a fairer price even for...
