Navaratna Raghav Located at the western end of Mount Road Navratna Raghav is a vegetarian restaurant. They are in the business of serving food and so the layout and ambience are business-like. Tables full of laid out thalies (Hindi for dinner plate) ready to be served once customer settles down. Glass fronted front without curtains. Other than warli-paintings along the wall on the pillars there is no pretence of any other decor. The menu is changed on daily basis, though the changes may be limited to types of veg, or sweet etc. Only two types of thali are served. One a Royal Thali. it has thee kinds of sweets, two kinds of farsans, three types of veg one mung usal (veg of sprouted cereal), rice & or Khichadi, Dal & Kadhi, Phulka &/or bajra rotla and papad+chatni+pickle+green salad.Servings are unlimited. It costs ₹ 280/- The other thali is Limited thali. It has one sweet, one farsan, of the three veg and mung usal any two types can be ordered, rice/Khichadi, dal &/or Kadhi, 5 Phulka and papad+chatni+pickle+green salad. Only one serving. It costs ₹ 220/- We had limited thali. Though not there on the menu, we were also served with dahi-vada by default. Must have been recent addition after the menu was printed. For a moderate eater, limited thali is okay. The service is fast and good. The serving staff is quite friendly and courteous. Coming to the crux, the food is really tasty. Value for money. For a change of taste, I would not mind visiting it once in a while. Worth visiting...
