I was craving for sadya (traditional Kerala meals served on a banana leaf with many delicious delicacies) and we found Kerala House in one of the Instagram posts. Though this place is far from home, we decided to visit on a Sunday. Of course I skipped breakfast to have sadya for brunch. After reaching there, we took coupons and started waiting. It was already mentioned in the reviews to expect a good waiting time. And that's really true for Sundays. We waited more than an hour. But I would say that the wait was worth it. Once we got seated, the banana leaf was already laid and then the items started coming. Lime pickle, ginger curry (I'm always a fan of this curry and this was amazing, same taste as my mom prepares), thoran, aviyal, pineapple pachadi, vegetable stew, koottu curry, papad, rice, sambar, moru curry, rasam and payasam. OMG, we loved it. All of this is unlimited, except for papad which is charged @10 if more than one is taken. We also ordered Kerala chicken fry and pomfret fry. Kerala chicken fry was also very tasty, but the pomfret fry was not very great (not bad though it has room for improvement). But as I was there for sadya, I was pretty happy and satisfied. I would recommend this place to everyone. Well there is no separate parking space, so you would need to park on the road side. Our car tyre was puncture when we came back. Not sure if that happened naturally or someone tricked us, as a kid came to us very desperate to fix tyre mentioning that his family runs a tyre fix shop and he knows the process. But we didn't give, changed the tyre ourselves and left. So may be you should be careful while...

If you're craving authentic Kerala cuisine in Mumbai, this Kerala Government-run restaurant is the perfect spot to satisfy your taste buds. The food here is a delightful showcase of traditional Kerala flavors, prepared with great attention to detail. The thali is a must-try and comes at a very affordable price—just ₹120 on weekdays and ₹200 on weekends. It’s a wholesome and satisfying meal that gives you a taste of Kerala’s culinary diversity. You can also enhance your meal with delicious add-ons like the crispy and flavorful chicken fry for ₹120 or the perfectly spiced fish fry, which costs ₹200 for one or ₹400 for two. The quality and authenticity of the dishes are unmatched, making it well worth the price. The ambiance is simple and welcoming, staying true to the essence of Kerala's culture. Whether you’re a vegetarian or a non-vegetarian, you’ll find plenty of options to indulge in. The staff is friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Overall, this restaurant is a hidden gem for anyone who appreciates genuine Kerala food at budget-friendly prices. Highly recommended for families, food lovers, and anyone wanting to explore the rich flavors of God’s Own Country in the heart of Mumbai! I visited this place with my family and I loved the food, there is coupon system on weekends due to rush , one has to wait for 30 mins till their number comes. It is only open for lunch from 12:30...

This restaurant is a local favourite amongst malayalis and is found inside the Kerala Bhavan in Vashi. Weekends see a large rush.

On a Sunday afternoon, I decided I will go check out much hyped out restaurant. When I googled it, the restaurant open time is 12:30, but when I arrived at 12:30, there was a sizable line, and I had to take number and wait in queue.

The standard lunchtime food is thali on weekend

You will need to place a second order if you want a non-vegetarian dish. For about Rs. 130/-, they offer limitless food (with the exception of papad and payasam). An additional 2 papads cost Rs. 10/-. Instead of serving plain water with meals, I like the fact the offer boiled water has been infused with ayurvedic herbs. which is quite traditional in kerala. They do accept gpay but no card .

I gave this product three stars because:

Compared to a meal from an authentic Kerala restaurant, the food's flavour is mediocre, bland, and lacking in spices I found it too crowded especially on weekend

It would have been better if there had been a separate area for vegetarians and non-vegetarians so that individuals going to order fish fries or chicken roasts wouldn't bother vegetarians who don't enjoy the odours.

I like to test drive cars and bikes and I do have youtube channel. If you like to...
