Encalm Lounge- T3 International Departures — Restaurant in New Delhi

Used the space for myself and family of four.

Pros: Hot Masala chai coffee bar, drinks bar, ample seating/capacity, dessert cakes

Cons: All hot food was luke warm and some even felt undercooked, long line to check in, bathroom was so heavily used it was practically public,

I arrived in time to depart for ORD at around 12:00 AM. The long lines to process moved at a moderate pace but once in, it was busy but not frustratingly so. Most frustrating part of the experience is all the actual indian food which looked good (and would in pictures) was actually luke warm to eat. Either that means it was undercooked and the warmers aren't able to warm it to hot (they shouldn't have to do this and it's not food safe) or they're served hot and somehow quickly become cold (number of people opening and closing the lids or leaving them open maybe). Either way, it speaks to food management issues and really killed the food experience overall because it throw into question whether the food was safe to eat.

What's more, I cut open a few pieces of (also luke warm) chicken tikka from the buffet and the insides were purple/pink in color, so I chose not to eat those either. Undercooked or just natively weird colored? You decide. I'd rather not risk my gut, especially before a 15 hr flight to Chicago.

Food cleanup was sort of random with some areas being cleaned frequently but one area near us being ignored for 2 hours.

All of the waters has turned over when I arrived and the entire refrigerator full of them were warm to the touch and never got cold for the hour and a half we were there. It would be better if they had a fridge in the back precooling it so they arrive in the dispensing fridge cold already.

Speaks volumes that this lounge is generic/cafeteria enough that they have an entirely separate class of lounge called encalm prive that has separate qualifying criteria to get into. Don't bother trying to get into it with priority...

A Relaxing Experience at Encalm Lounge, Terminal 3 – IGI Airport

For those who enjoy a drink, the lounge has a well-stocked bar serving a selection of alcoholic beverages, adding to the premium experience. Additionally, Encalm provides newspapers and magazines, allowing travelers to stay updated with the latest news while waiting for their flights. The Wi-Fi was reliable, making it easy to browse or get some work done.

What stood out the most was the attentive and courteous staff, who ensured a seamless experience. Whether you want to relax, enjoy a meal, or simply pass the time in a peaceful environment, Encalm Lounge delivers on all fronts.
