Delicious Asian Street Food Experience – A Must-Visit in Vasant Vihar!
Hawkers in Vasant Vihar is hands down one of the best places in Delhi to enjoy authentic and flavour-packed Pan-Asian street food. Located in the bustling Basant Lok Market, it has a chic and casual vibe with comfortable seating, friendly staff, and a fast-paced yet welcoming atmosphere.
The menu is a delightful mix of Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, and Indonesian street-style dishes, all crafted with fresh ingredients and bold spices. We tried the Chilli Garlic Noodles, Kung Pao Chicken, and their signature Dimsums, and each dish was cooked to perfection—flavorful, aromatic, and beautifully presented.
What really stands out is the balance of spice and flavor—nothing feels too heavy or greasy, and yet every bite is full of taste. The Schezwan Fried Rice and Burmese Khow Suey are also highly recommended. The portion sizes are generous and perfect for sharing with friends or family.
Hawkers also does a great job with vegetarian options—items like Tofu in Black Bean Sauce and Veg Momos are equally impressive. Their refreshing mocktails and iced teas complement the meal perfectly.
Service is quick, and the staff is courteous and attentive. The pricing is fair for the quality and quantity you receive.
If you're looking for a quick yet satisfying Asian food fix in South Delhi, Hawkers Vasant Vihar should definitely be on your list. A great place for casual dining, lunch with colleagues, or a relaxed evening...
Read moreUpdated on 19th November 2024 It's getting expensive every now n then. It's not worthy enough now. 1 plate fried paneer momos is 230 rupees + gst etc. I believe it's better to sit in a restaurant and eat something rather than waiting here in a long queue and the price is almost same.
Updated 17th June 22 I now feel like this is expensive. For example Momos for over 200 Spring roll again over 200 I mean literally most things are over 200 rupees. Only noodles are below 200 but they're also going over 150. So I believe most people who visit hawkers are never alone... Group of friends or family creates the majority of the crowd here hence I'm sure you'll end up spending around 900 or for sure over 1k. All I wanted to say is that you could spend the same amount in a proper air conditioned resturant sit and dine in instead of standing here in queue or may be in your car but at the most annoying thing is waiting for your meal to get served in time. Especially if you visit here during weekends.
My old review It's good for snacks, fast food.. My personal favourites are momos and haka noodles... Would like to mention that never visit hawkers on weekends in evening... During weekends it's so heavily crowded that you might have to wait for an hour...
Read moreHawkers is literally a takeaway on wheels. I have been ordering food from them for years now. There is an option to either drive in and eat in your car or a long stool to sit outside.
Food: Its basically Chinese and they have mastered the art of maintaining the taste. The food is very fresh as its made as you order and the crowd is a lot so the ingredients get used up fast. The hot and sour soup is a signature starter. You may end up in tears of joy as its quite spicy but opens up the taste buds. I have that when I have a cold it cleans up my entire system in 15min. The salantro momos are great starters as they are not spicy. Garlic noodles veg works well with a chillie chicken. Unfortunately no sweet dish on the menu to top it up.
Costing: Its priced just right. In fact all the kids from schools around come to eat there so yes its affordable.
Service: Its super fast and they are very efficient in multitasking. I usually eat some there and order for home too.
A must order place they are also on zomato if you dont want...
