Sagar Ratna — Restaurant in New Delhi

Went for lunch. I was disappointed. The ambience is -5 for this price point. Seats are old and the fake leather fabric is worn. Walls are old and in need of paint. The one AC is not on. There is a fan running. It’s sad and old. Compare this to the nearby Haldirams and the difference is night and day. This looks like the kitchen for delivery. At ⅓ the price point it’s acceptable as the place was clean but not by the standards of a nice mall where the cost was 400 per head.

Food was ok. It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t good. The dosa I had at Bikanerwala was crisp and fresh. Here, by the time we got the dosa, it was soft. That’s really not acceptable at a South Indian place where the dosas are a key dish.

Service was generally friendly and good. The food did take a long time coming out but that wasn’t the fault of the server. He was attentive.

I can see myself ordering from here maybe if there is no other alternative. There is no way I will return to eat in at the restaurant. There are many better options at this price point. Just poke your head in and you will be able to figure out what I mean — the place looks sad. What is surprising is that I would guesstimate 25000 rupees could fix a lot of the issues from improving the chairs to the general tidiness of the place. But it’s pretty clear...

this is one of my favourite place to visit at square Mall Vasant Kunj as they always have fresh food with awesome samba and other condiments. one of the dishes that I really realise and I never miss is idli chaat. It is a die for refreshing dish with curd and idli...one should try it as starters and relish on it. over the course of time they have changed the menu to make it more customised to North Indian taste as North Indians do not like authentic South Indian taste. if you are around Vasant Kunj to visit this place and try out various options of authentic South Indian dishes that are available in abundance. another this that one would really like in the end veerakesari not too sweet just perfect taste. Recently I visited Sagar Ratna in vasant square mall vasant kunj with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was far from enjoyable.

Food: The dishes were not up to standard. “The food was cold, lacked flavour, and did not seem fresh. For the price, I expected better quality and presentation.

Overall, they require there’s significant room where they take class of own staff for how to entertain the customers improvement in both food and service. While every restaurant can have an off day, this experience did not inspire confidence to return. I hope management takes these points into consideration to improve for...
