We have been crossing this dilapidated mall for years while coming back from DLF Promenade. Recently, we saw the Sky High board, a rooftop bar. We finally gathered the courage to visit this place recently. It was with great trepidation that we entered this mall. Everything is down market. Right from the shady basement parking to the mall itself. The crowd is low-end trying to act hip. We held steady and moved on.... we reached the 3rd floor going up the escalator, feeling as if we had entered an abandoned building of 70s with homeless and substance abusers crawling from everywhere...... anyways, we reached the entrance, and we were guided to the rooftop.
The place was a surprise. Beautifully designed and well laid out. We sat down and ordered a couple of beers and a chicken tikka. Beer selection was limited to Corona and Bud. Chicken tikka was done well and flavorful and perfectly smoked though slightly over salted.
There was live music. It was the sufi night, and the singer was decent enough trying his best to engage with not so interested guests.
The service staff is not trained. They tried their best to be attentive and prompt but are gauche. There was a table of ladies and one serving staff actually touched the shoulder of a lady to get her attention 🙄..... and she didn't seem to mind it 😅..... and that brings me to the people visiting this place.
I think this place is frequented by the upwardly moble middle class from the surrounding apartment buildings. They still haven't reached the level of economic status or the confidence to walk into an upmarket nightclub or a bar but want to be part of that circle. This is the place where they can show off their new money.... almost all the people were busy clicking slefies. Ladies were dressed trendy but cheap lycra dresses. Men were trying their best to look sharp in their Sunday best.... it was kinda cute nonetheless. Decent people trying to live high life in socially comfortable surroundings.....
Finally, the owners of this place need to be admired for a keen business sense. They've taken a run-down mall, so obviously, the rental would be more than reasonable. The staff is perhaps riffraff straight from the street who would be perhaps working on minimum wages. And the prices are that of Khan Market 😁.... they know well that the customers visiting this place could be egged on to pay such prices because they want to look rich and trendy...... bottomline, the owners would be laughing their way to the bank. Keep the cost low. Make the place aspirational for middle-class customers with high prices. And boom, you have a successful venture at your hands.
We left after an hour or so. It was an interesting and...
Read moreOn 9th July 2025, We celebrated Birthday in Sky High Restaurant...I could only say that this is one of the WORST experience I have seen from services delivered against what was promised to us.
We opted for INDOOR gathering of 45+ guests party by anticipating rain and unfortunately it rained heavily also on that day....But this has revealed the reality of all services, promises and careless attitude of all the staffers...I had to ask and follow up for each and every small thing, even for spoons and plates there was no proper availablity. Many of my guests went home without taking dinner and there was no shame to the staff on duty to take care of things....They got a great excuse that it rained, so what we can do...But actually we planned the party in this resturant by anticipating rain and to avoid such circumstances where guest would face any trouble.
Only thing which I could tell to the world is that..This is no go place at all and if you care about your money and reputation then never ever visit this place.
Everyone who joined the party on 9th July is telling it to all their knowns that Sky High is worst option for any Party...Worst Services and attitude.
It is better to not do anything and sit at home instead of showing a little confidence in this team and staff that they will take care of your program.
We have wasted our hard earned money, and lost our reputation in front of guests just because we trusted these careless people who are highly greedy and can not think beyond money anytime.
After spoiling whole program they have adapted a practice to just say Sorry for everything and then again get ready to catch another person...

We had one of the worst experiences hosting a party here. We had booked their enclosed indoor space on 20th July for a birthday celebration on 6th August. Despite confirming everything in advance, we were shocked to discover on the day of the event that another party was organized in the same space.
This was incredibly embarrassing, as we were forced to share the area, despite having made a prior booking. The staff clearly prioritized the larger group over us — service was painfully slow, we didn't receive enough plates (even for serving cake!), and the overall arrangement was chaotic.
To our dismay, one of the staff even justified the poor service by saying, “We have a party of 30 people and you’re only 20.” Our children barely ate, and the adults had to eat after returning home.
If your group is less than 30–40 people, think twice before booking this venue — they might change their commitment at the last minute if they receive a booking from a larger group. Very disappointing, unprofessional behavior, and driven purely by greed of more business.
Will let you know the name of the team as well in...
