I have visited this place twice in the past 1 month simply because they serve sheesha and have a beautiful outdoor sitting, hence the rating of 3 for the atmosphere.
Coming to the review, the food at this place was extremely disappointing with no taste, stale food and extreme prices for poor quantities. It's a shame that one pays above 600 for dumplings etc at a place where the quantity and quality is worse than food being cooked in the gutter. Both times we went post our movie around 10 and from the moment we entered there was an air of uneasiness. The service was extremely poor and the staff was not trained at all. Both times we were asked to give our orders in a hurry as the last order was at 11:30. Yesterday at 11 PM we were asked to give our last order while we were in the middle of our appetizers. Previously at 10:45 they asked us for the last order even though the time was 11:30. It's a shame that they stood on our heads and kept waiting for us to finish. Atleast 3 men (staff members) just loitering and keeping an eye and waiting. Yesterday on denial to place the last order while being in the middle of the appetizers, the staff started packing the outside chairs and mattresses and cushions etc while we were eating. We had to ask atleast 4 times for cutlery and to talk about the food, atrocious. It made us sick the following morning. The staff was just not interested in doing anything but continues doing their own thing like packing and watching TV which was outright rude. There was an aura of uneasiness as we felt unsafe as well there as they kept staring and waiting for us. To top it off a service charge was added which we got removed. Don't think the chef even knows how to cook, such is the quality of the food inspite of our multiple visits.
To the owners and the management, instead of charging for food you might as well take donations and run your homes rather than feeding people bad food, with poor service and an unsafe and uneasy environment.
Do not visit. It's the worst place I've been to in...
Read moreI'm a regular traveler to Japan and well acquainted with Japanese cuisine. And it helps that I love the cuisine. So I went to this place with a lot of trepidation, not knowing how close it would come to the authentic Japanese flavors and taste.
I wasn't disappointed. There is a mix of kimichi (Korean) and Baos (Chinese) with Japanese dishes. But what is Japanese in the menu comes pretty close to the real deal. The real test of Japanese cuisine is the ubiquitous Miso soup. And what they served did get it almost right. Obviously, they wouldn't have access to fresh ingredients to get the "umami" but it was quite close. They were perhaps using the ready-made miso paste, and that's understandable.
The chicken tonkatsu (essentially fried pork but converted to chicken in India) was fried with panko breadcrumbs, making it perfectly crisp on the outside and succulent on the inside without being overly oily. The crisp salad with myonise drizzled over it, accompanying the dish was great at cutting the grease.
The service was excellent. And the seating was cozy and...
Read moreLocated on the 3rd floor opposite to Chaayos, at DLF Promenade Mall. Visited this beautiful, Japanese themed place for the first time and boy it was an amazing experience. Not having too much experience in Japanese Food, I tried 3-4 dishes which seemed interesting. I tried their Veg Cantonese Dumplings, there were 4 pieces which I felt were little less. They tasted amazing! Sticky in mouth, but belly filling. Then I tried their Chicken Karaage Bao which were the highlight of my meal. Loved them. Such stuff baos, I've had for the first time. A must, must try! Then I ordered Mabo Yasai with Sticky Rice. A belly filling meal, loved it. Filled with exotic vegetables. The restaurant is slightly on an expensive side. So, a heads up on that, but the food is equally...
