Yum Yum Cha was on my list for quite some time now.
Coz I have heard a lot from many people about their awesome Asian food and so wanted to give it a try.
And finally got a chance to dine in at their new outlet.
So here goes my verdict about just everything from food to ambiance to the services.....
BEVERAGES....( Fun Bottle)
WATERMELON AND MINT
This was their juice cum mocktail which had fresh watermelons and a hint of mint. It looked really nice and the taste was very nice too. The quantity is pretty good as well.
THAI ORANGE AND KAFIR LIME
The waiter suggested us this drink hence we ordered. It was very succulent. For people who like to have something not so tangy and rather less sweet can go for this one. The quality was A1. Really liked it for it's refreshing taste.
FOOD...
TOM YUM YUM I personally loved this soupy noodles for it's richness in terms of ingredients. This had all the exotic vegetables possible. It had tofu in pretty good amount too which I absolutely love. The taste was delectable. Plus the quantity is great and sufficient for three people to share. A MUST TRY!!!
PHILLY WONTONS All the cheese lovers must defo give this a shot. It is pretty yummy. It is perfectly made like crispy on the outside and extremely soft from inside. Not at all spicy but nicely balanced. RECOMMENDED
WASABI ROLL This variant is their chef recommended one so we had to taste it. People who like their sushi a lot more spicier should go for this one. The dip that is wasabi sauce is pretty spicy which balances out with the less spicy sushi roll on the whole. Sushi lover would like it to the core I bet!
VEGETABLE CRYSTAL DIMSUMS Being a hardcore mushroom fanatic I had to try this. It has good amount of mushrooms which is amazing. But somehow I did not like the taste as such. I feel the spices of dish can be worked upon.
DESSERTS...
NEW YORK CHEESECAKE I can go over and over about this cheesecake. It was so palatable that you surely have to try it to know it! It is surely one of the best cheesecake I had lately. Perfect way to start the NY on a high calory note maybe😎
BANOFFEE SUSHI This was the highlight for me from the whole dining experience! I am a die hard lover of banoffee pies but here it was something so unique. It was instead a banoffee sushi which I haven't tried ever in my life. The presentation itself was so tempting that I couldn't stop myself from drooling. It is heavenly I would rather say to sum up my exp!
CHOCOLATE MUD POT Although the concept of mud cake in a pot fascinated me a lot. But the taste rather did not impress me that much. It was kinda too sweet for me. Maybe coz I am not a very chocolaty person. Perhaps the chocolate fans would like it more.
MOCHI ICE CREAM A mochi ice cream is a confection made in Japan. It is not a regular ice cream peeps! It has a sticky rice skin outside the actually ice cream which doesn't allow it to melt that easily and also adds to the sweetness and texture. I tried two variants one was CAPPUCCINO which is quite coffee like in taste ofcourse. I kinda liked it for not being too sweet. And the other one was their signature which is ROCKY ROAD. It is again a chocolate variant ice cream which doesn't have too much of chocolate as such and that is why I found it pretty delicious! Again I must say quantity is very satisfying!!
The SERVICE is pretty quick and prompt. The STAFF is well aware of the dishes and the menu as well.
The AMBIANCE is very colorful and chirpy. It is always a jam packed place during lunch and dinner time so plan your visit accordingly.
QUALITY of food is well maintained and has been surely taken proper care!
So that is my elaborated experience with YUM YUM CHA! It was an awesome one for sure. I am definitely coming back to try other veg options which I couldn't have this time. Also I was so happy too see that this restaurant has A LOT of VEG DISHES which is hard to find in an Asian food chain. So KUDOS to the team and the menu...
Read moreTrue to their name, Little Bundles of Joy and Huge Bowl of Happiness, Yum Yum Cha made my dining experience extremely delectable and cherishable. I have been craving for Authentic sushi, Dimsums, Baos and Starters for a long long time, but due to lockdowns, I wasn't able to get the chance to visit Yum Yum Cha.
So finally we happened to visit them yesterday once I came to know that they were celebrating the #7yearsofyum with amazing hospitality and offers. The place was lit with Colourful and Mesmerizing Origami laid roofs and walls, which made the Asian Aura so Majestic. The hospitality was delightful and despite being Packed in lunch hours, the servers were always prompt in suggestions and laying the food.
We wanted to try their Dimsums and Sushis majorly, so we started by ordering a few variants of Veg and Non Veg Dimsums. Tried their Chilli Cheese, Chicken Chestnut, Thai Veg curry, Spinach n Mushroom and Chicken and chilli oil Dimsums. A group of four, we were able to taste all the variants as each portion had 4 serves. The taste, texture, flavours were distinct and each variant was better than the other. It was actually difficult to pick out the best, but personally I will suggest trying Chicken Chestnut, Chilli Cheese n Thai Veg curry Dim Sums for sure. Despite having 5 Dimsums each, we were still longing to try more variants, but we wanted to try other dishes as well.
In mocktails, I tried their Orange and Kaffir lime, which is my anyday favorite and I must say that I had the best version of it till date at Yum Yum Cha. A beautiful amalgamation of Kaffir lime, balanced with tanginess and sweetness of orange, this drink is A Winner here. I re-ordered same drink with the main course as well.
Next we wanted to try their Sushis, so we ordered Chefs Sushi boat of assorted Veg and Non Veg Sushis, which mainly had Asparagus Tempura, Salsa Roll, Rainbow, Rock n roll n Dynamite. Served on A Sushi Boat platter, it was a win-win presentation. Served with fish oil, Wasabi and Ginger pickle, it was a delightful ecstasy that tantalised our taste buds with robust yet pleasant taste. Loved every type of Sushi and my personal favourite was Salsa Roll and Rock n roll. A must try for everyone who loves Sushi.
Not to be missed is their KFC Bao, which will make your taste buds sing with the most wonderful flavours. The crispiness and flakiness of the chicken on a bed of spicy sweet sauce on a pillowy Bao bun, once you dig in, you won't be able to stop till you finish it. It was scrumptious and Dish of the day for me. We also tasted their Crispy lotus root in veg and general TSO's chicken starters and both were delicious.
In the mains, we ordered their much talked about Sizzling Stone Bowl in butter pepper garlic Flavor with Mushroom, chives, corn, tofu and peppers. Served sizzling in a style by the server, it is mixed at your table. And the aromas and flavours of sizzling noodles will make you drool for more.
We were so full by now, but couldn't end our Lunch without their USP Dessert Mochi Ice Cream. Tried their Pink Paan and Coconut Jaggery and I am in love with both of them. While Paan mochi took my palate to a dancing ride of Indian paan version; the coconut jaggery subtleness was a pleasant surprise.
We couldn't have expected anything more than Perfection, and our Dining experience turned out to be Best till date, when it comes to Pan Asian. A Cosy Bistro that serves nothing but yumminess, and warm hospitality, it was a delight to be here. Looking forward to being regular here and try more options from their...
Read moreYum Yum Cha is not a simple pan asian brand serving asian cuisine but presents a more contemporary take on pan asian food and that is what makes it so special. With three outlets already operating successfully across Delhi NCR, their latest offering at DLF Promenade Vasant Kunj is something to look forward to after your shopping spree which is why we planned to visit them.
The place can be a bit tricky to find as DLF Promenade is quite huge and confusing. But with the help of the information desk of the mall, we able to locate them and the place looked really vibrant. The colourful roof is something that attracts you immediately. The animals depiction also catches your attention and ofcourse the live kitchen is something that comes to your notice straightaway. The overall decor is very pleasing to the eyes due to use of light and bright colours with white being the base colour.
We started our lunch with their very popular dimsum baskets and ordered three of them. First being “Chilli Cheese Dimsum” which were simply mindblowing. Had never had any dimsum with cheese as their filling and these can easily be termed as the game changing ones. Second being “Edamame & Truffle” were a bit disappointing and were very bland too. The “Bok Choy” ones looked beautiful and tasted great too. Though it got a bit difficult to swallow to whole leaf out of which the outer covering was prepared. Next we tried their “Honey & Chilli Mock Duck” which was a new addition to the menu and they had created mock duck using soya. The overall use of spices and honey were spot on and the dish though quite similar to the taste of usual honey chilli potatoes got its distinct flavour through soya and became a lot more likeable.
We had heard a lot about their paper hot pots and thus ordered a “Tom Yum Yum Paper Hot Pot” which was mentioned in the soup and noodles sub section in the menu. The soup was a bit tangy and the noodles worked well with it. The whole concept of paper hot pot looked very intriguing and is something you should definitely give a try. We also ordered a “Sichuan Sizzling Stone Bowl” whose ingredients are placed in a stone bowl and prepared in front of you on your table. It is sort of a meal bowl and the sichuan base is highly recommended if you don’t like spicy food.
We concluded our meal with their very popular “Mochi Ice Cream” and order a couple of flavours namely Rocky Road & Blackberry. Both the flavours were great though I liked the rocky road more due to its chocolaty flavour and nuts.
The drinks accompanying our meal were their fun bottles of which we tried a few flavours namely “Smoked Mango”, “Pink Pomelo”, “Thai Orange & Kafir Lime” & “Green Apple Sour”. The best out of the lot were the smoked mango and pink pomelo. Both had a very distinct and a unique flavour that you won’t find in your usual mocktails and are something you shouldn’t miss at all.
The service was quick and the stewards were very professional and courteous. They always had a smile on their face and ready to help you out in any manner to make your meal worth remembering.
Overall, Yum Yum Cha’s newest offering in Vasant Kunj totally matches and even surpasses the high standards set by its counterparts. The contemporary set up makes it distinguishable and a place to really look forward to with your friends and families. Highly...
