Edit: After your response, I tried sending an email and it doesn't work. haha... So Delhi experience.
I usually don't write reviews but writing this one due to horrible experience. I had a very bad overall experience and I would suggest people to avoid this place due to extremely bad experience. When we asked for what beer is on tap, the waiter had no idea as taps were not working. Then he suggested us to get drinks on women's day offer which was not just bad but also he was also trying to trick us. He didn't tell us the exact details of the offer and once we got the drink, he told us that both the drinks needed to be finished in order to avail the offer. They also charged service tax for zero service. We had to ask for water multiple times, no tissues were given, he asked us to pour our drinks by ourselves and so many other small small things. I would have happily given the service tax if proper service was given. I still give service charge though. Apart from that, he just kept roaming near the table for no reason. This place is not recommended at all. Oh yes, and the name of server was Dhiman Deep or something like that. It was...
Read moreAs per the guidelines laid down by the Central Consumer Protection Authority, hotels and restaurant cannot mandatorily charge service charge from a consumer. But the Beer Cafe branch in Vasant Kunj’s Promenade Mall makes sure to tell its consumers as soon as they sit down that they will put the charge on the bill, even before the consumer had ordered their drinks or food. When I told the server (whose name I forgot) that I will pay the charge if I like the service, he refused to take our order. He double confirmed it with the manager, who told the server that the service charge must be levied on the bill. So, it wasn’t just the fault of the server but these illegal ‘rules’ are being implemented by the management at the Beer Cafe. My friend and I exited the cafe and went to Delhi Heights instead. I have flagged this restaurant to the Ministry of Consumer Affairs and lodged an official complaint with their national helpline for fooling and strong arming...
Read moreVisited Beer Cafe with colleagues post work, hoping for a relaxing evening, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet expectations. The place is small, with outdoor seating available, though we chose to sit inside due to the humidity.
The menu looked promising — thick as a book — but most of the listed drinks were unavailable. Even popular options like Budweiser weren’t in stock, which was quite surprising. Cold coffee and mocktails were also missing from the menu, and I had to settle for a mojito.
We ordered a chicken wings platter and French fries — but the quantity of fries was laughably small, and the wings took forever to arrive. We had to remind the staff multiple times, and when the food finally came, it was underwhelming in both taste and presentation.
Given the price point, we expected better service, availability, and overall experience. Disappointing visit — definitely wouldn’t return unless...
