Nizam's Kathi Kabab — Restaurant in New Delhi

I usually do not give negative feedback to anyone but this time I am forced to do this.

I visited this place after very long time along with one of my friends, as we both were roaming at karol bagh and in evening.

We just got hungry as we skipped our lunch and I suggested to go to this place as I have not visited for long time, but this time this visit turned to worst nightmare for both of us.

Here are few things I would like to mention….

There is no parking place is available as vehicle has to be parked on the road.

Wheelchair parking and entrance is available.

Staff is courteous and professional.

Different types of food variety is available.

Table services is not available.

Although food was properly packed as we ordered famous dish of this place i.e chicken role wrapped in paratha....

After getting picked up from service counter.... we found food wrap was totally drenched in oil and we used almost 10 to 15 tissue paper to dry the excess oil from wrap.... even after drying when we opened the butter paper and took out the food.... Out of our surprise... oil was still dropping out.

After completing at booking counter about this problem.... without listening to our problem..... we were directed to delivery counter.... and informing them about problem.... they simply said....."YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR LESS OIL" and they also said that they have used very high quality rice barn oil which is safe for health

I requested them to change the food.... for which they simply denied and suggested us to give a new order with less oil....

We try to eat the food as we paid our hard earned money.... we just couldn't eat the food .... instead of taste of food..... we were getting the taste of oil in our mouth.....

We couldn't tolerate it... so we through the food in dustbin and came out of shop.

I took my friend to the shop with confidence that food of this shop is up to the mark but food servied was way below our expectations and even on the way back to home... my friend literally vomited on the road due to oily food....

I know that many people have written before about this property. Let me tell you who so ever is reading this .... if you are really calories conscious... DON'T VISIT THIS PLACE.....

Nizam’s Kathi Kabab in Connaught place is an iconic place in New Delhi for those who are a fan of kebabs and rolls. Having heard a lot about this place, we went here in the evening and still found the place to be quite buzzing. Place your order and wait for a while before you gorge on some lovely rolls. We had the following while we were at Nizam’s Kathi Kabab.

Single Chicken Egg Roll is a simple dish with a layer of meat and egg. Freshly cut onions mixed in spice add a lot more flavor to the meat and the chutney is the perfect dip one could ask for.

Kali Mirch Chicken and Egg Roll was not at all spicy and that was somewhat disappointing. It tasted very similar to the regular roll, no extra spice, no masala, just the same copy of the previous one.

The highlight was the Roomali Roti with Chicken Tikka Masala. Yes, we entered Nizam wanting to try their rolls but it was this dish that stood out for us more than everything else. The soft and well cooked roti went really well with the curry. The chicken pieces were well cooked, the coating was not burnt or charred, the masala was spot on as well.

Lemon Soda was the usual drink, nothing much to say about this.

Lemon Iced Tea in a bottle was quite tasty and was a good pairing with the Chicken Tikka Masala.

Parking is available in CP and one can walk down to this place. Do expect some amount of waiting period once you place your order. It is self service with seating available, so keep an eye out for your order number.

Have been to their cannaught place outlet numerous times and have almost every time till today had a nice meal and a pleasant experience but this place today is in a sad state.

The cleanliness of this self serving place is absolutely zero (even a roadside foodcart would have cleaner cutlery and plates) On asking for knives at the service counter,which they firstly had to look for i saw their cutlery rack and trust me it was greased, dirty and stinky. Realising that im using the cutlery from the same rack , i felt disgusted and asked for disposables, which they did not have surprisingly.

The hand wash area was too dirty to even go near!

Ordered the usual kathi roll which was fine in taste but the keema pao and caramel custard were a disaster.

Suman mishra the cook and mr. mukesh who’s the manager of the place are a complete disgrace to their respective professions. They are not open to feedbacks and are downright rude and disrespectful.

Wouldn’t consider going to this place again anytime soon. The guy in the picture is mr. chef suman mishra who from his behaviour I think does not seem fit for a job is the hospitality and food industry. Get rid of...
