Well Pandara Road market has lot of legendary outlet with almost similar concept and theme either it is Gulati, Havemore or Pindi. Every restaurant has its own charms.
Pindi is fine dining and legendary shop. Since 1948 they have been serving their delicacies to its customer. Restaurant is come into the existence in 1948 and started by grandfather of the current owner Mr Anuj Wadhava and his uncle. So what makes the difference from legendary shop and new outlet? New outlet is mainly depend for its outsourced product whereas the legendary shop like Pindi had struggled lot in their establishment but till date they have been using own processed spices to ingredients. Original recipe and authenticity is in the food is only key factor to retain their customer.
On previous Friday I have been to Pindi very first time. I explore the restaurant ambience in very first sight. It is bright light restaurant with fine dining sitting arrangement. I further came to know that they had private dining space for 10-15 people.
I have started with their Aam Panna. It was good refreshing drink. This was followed by appetizers.
We ordered couple of veg and non veg starters
Kashmiri Kabab: it is recommended product at Pindi restaurant. Huge chunks of marinated chicken were used with balanced smokey flavor.
Mutton Seekh Kababs were equally good. Major part was their presentation. It was typical Indian presentation.
In the Veg Starter I had tried Soya Tikka and veg Seekh Kabab. Both won’t disappoint you and very yummucious.
In the Main course, we ordered butter chicken and Rogan josh with laccha paranta it is amazing. Now coming to Desi dessert i.e. Gulab Jamun and Kulfi Faluda both are highly...
Read moreWe booked a table online as we read many good ratings. In the beginning everything was fine, food was good, service friendly but unfortunately this feeling was destroyed the minutw we took our last bite of our meals. Literally a second after taking the last bite we were presented with the check we didn‘t ask for. Still having half full drinks, we wanted to finish those first (and maybe order a dessert) bit didn‘t get the chance as the waiter was already standing right next to us with the credit card machine. We felt very much pushed out of the restaurant, paid by card and when asked if we‘d like to add tip we said that we were going to leave tip in cash. We were however not even able to finish our drinks as we were approached by several waiters looking for tips, asking us if we were not satisfied with the food. We left some tip (that we regret we did now) and left the restaurant. We would have left much more tip if the they would not have thrown us out in such a rude way. Unfortunately this very rude behaviour of the waiters ruined what could have been a...
Read moreBeautiful food, service and ambiance. If you want some delicious Punjabi flavours you should definitely visit here. We were suggested to go here by our cab driver and I am extremely thankful for this suggestion. The food is sensational, and the ambiance is also really good. I would also like to take a second to appreciate the service staff, they were extremely prompt and courteous. We ordered a veg kheema and it was soo good, brilliantly smokey and crispy but not dry. The chicken tikka was also super tasty and juicy. The best dish here is definitely the butter roti and gravy, rotis are perfect, I don’t have any other way to describe the flaky crispy roti and just the right amount of butter, just too good. Both the graves we had was also amazing, beautifully seasoned and was very well prepared in general and the presentation was also on point. It is a bit on the pricey side but I think it is worth it for the quality of the food offered. A must visit if you are in...
