Biryani at its Best from one and only Gulati
Few days ago, I had special Brunch from Gulati Restaurant. That too all the way delivered from Pandara Road Market to my home in Dwarka.
We all know how famous Gulati is in Delhi. Gulati has been well known from past many decades to serve best of the North Indian Food in entire Delhi NCR. Infact, Pandara Road Market is known pretty well for covering all the famous restaurants serving best of North Indian food from the time of partition itself. Although every restaurant here is quite good in terms of ambiance, food and service but Gulati outstands every other restaurant here. Or you can say its the only place here with the maximum number of its devotees. Even its been said that before the pandemic time, tourists from all across the places used to book half the restaurant for lunch. Sounds amazing, isn't it??
Gulati started with Dine In service, but now in this pandemic time they have started their delivery service that too all across Delhi NCR. No such limits in radius for delivering the dish, you see. Also, the delivery service is pretty quick, so no need to worry about the food received being hot or not. Now what can be better than to have such delicious food from Gulati that too with your loved ones in your own home?
The menu is huge with variety of options to choose from. The menu is designed pretty well with definitely all North Indian dishes covered. I heard their Butter Chicken and Ghost Achari are very famous, but I also wanted to try out their Biryani. So had to order everything obviously. The price is definitely reasonable and totally worth of each and every single penny.
I had their: Paneer Hyderabadi Matar mushroom Hyderabadi Dumpukht Biryani Murgh Makhani (Butter Chicken) Paratha Missi Masala Roti Ghost Achari Fruit Cream.
Quite a number, isn't it? Totally a delectable feast for me. The best part, I loved was their Hyderabadi Dumpukht Mutton Biryani, which was so heavenly in taste, that I believe everyone in Delhi NCR should try. Each and every dish is prepared so well with proper blending of spices and cooked so properly which I can't express in my words. Mutton is one of the dishes which needs a hell lot of patience to get prepared. That Mutton Biryani is worth to mention here. Never had such taste of mutton before. Infact each and every dish here is worth to mention. Totally loved the taste. Highly highly highly recommended.
They are taking proper care of hygiene standards as well. The packaging of food was done very nicely.
So don't just wait, and order your favourite food...
Read moreGulati's is one of the most famous and long standing restaurant in Delhi. This is the original one located in Pandara road and everyday it's packed to my knowledge. Beware that waiting times can be really long and they don't take reservations per say. My uncle was here from the US and wanted to have some nice North Indian Veg food and this was the only place which came to our mind. We reached there pretty late at around 9:45pm and yet we had to wait for sometime , not too much , like 5-10 minutes for our table , that also on a Wednesday. The nonveg Gulati's had even more waiting and that's a much bigger restaurant aswell.
Personally I came here after ages and the restaurant has been renovated and is more modern yet has that classic vibe . I generally get it delivered to my place and so do many famous celebrities and VVIPs , though sometimes they even come to dine in , but mostly get it delivered .
We ordered some of the classics and it took around 10 minutes or so to get started. Food review is as follows -
Tandoori Pineapple - One of our favourites is this tandoori pineapple . 6 pieces of it were served in the portion . The pineapple was marinated with a wonderful decently hot and spicy masala which really complements the sweet flavour of the Pineapple. The pineapple was grilled/tandoored to perfection and was very juicy aswell. Rating it 5/5.
Daal Makhni - Gulati's Daal Makhni is one of the best in business and one of my favourites aswell. The daal is rich and creamy , very smokey and hits all the correct notes. We ordered different rotis with it and all were enjoyable with the Indian breads. The daal makhni also goes very well with the sirka pyaaz they serve on the side. Rating this 5/5.
Paneer Butter Masala - Cottage Cheese cubes aka Paneer cooked in a very rich tomato and onion based curry with loads of spices. The paneer is super soft and the portion comes with a generous amount of it. The gravy is thicker in nature and full of wonderful spices , which maybe a bit spicy for some but not much for me personally. The onions also add a nice crunch to the dish. Overall a great dish but Shahi Paneer is still my favourite and is more close to the Butter Chicken which Nonveg Gulati's is really famous for. Rating this 5/5.
Service is always great here and the servers do take care of every guest very well. Great experience and wonderful food. Yes prices are on a higher side but it justifies for the quality and quantity. We paid 3000 or a bit more for all this and the cold drinks and Indian breads and also packed some of the food for home as...
