1.5/5 - Poor waiting with no sitting option available, rude staff who refused to serve and ignore u, overpriced items and even the sitting is not comfortable = below average ambience! Retro, yet uncomfortable. AVOID!!!!

We visited Big chill cafe on a weekday night. Since our plan was impromptu, we didn't check waiting times or called up or booked via any app. So I can understand we had to wait 10 mins to get a seat.

We were waiting in the common lobby area & there are washrooms just before the entrance. We went in the washrooms in the meanwhile. Washrooms were not properly clean.

After our turn came, we were asked to sit on a table in the initial area. But this chair sitting was very uncomfortable & it was a poorly planned sitting, literally jamming round tables in a big room, no privacy concern as waiters and other people moved from ur left/right.

We exchanged our seat for the table with sofa seats in the back area at the first available try. While we asked the staff for help with the same, no one even bothered to talk to us, they wereall very busy apparently.

We sat at the back and no one tended to us for 10 mins. I had to call the staff over at our table just to place an order, as there was an issue over who will take my order.

We ordered one pasta dish (pasta which has bacon) & 1 pizza dish (4 toppings non vegetarian one) and We also placed an order for 1 blueberry cheesecake as dessert towards the end. Only for these items, the bill had already crossed 1500, which is ridiculously expensive!!

On top of it, the pizza was not so full of toppings either as I will expect from a pizza costing Rs700. The pasta also seemed like a small portion and the cheesecake was literally just an average blueberry cheesecake.

Despite changing seats, it is difficult to take pictures in the outlet, as there is nothing fancy/photogenic & all corners are crammed with sitting arrangements to accommodate as many customers as possible.

Ridiculously expensive food, very slow service, they refuse to serve the customers and will just keep food on table and go. I had to call 3 different people to get a water refill.

Even during payment, they were indifferent and just ignored us and our attempts to call them. As soon as we were done paying, they started pestering us to evacuate the table.

Never seen more untrained and rude North-eastern staff. Not at all expected!!!!!

Go only if u have deep pockets and don't mind paying twice than what's necessary and still get below average ambience and customer service. Only the food tasted good & a bit unique with the bacon pasta so giving 2 stars but personally, won't come here...
