Probably one of the oldest eating joints in Connaught Place yet until now all I vaguely remember eating was the Fish & Chips which clearly didn't leave a lasting impression. However today was a different story. Madame wanted to revisit this place because of the Waffles she ate 3 years ago that clearly did a better job than my experience. The décor of this place is just the right amount of minimalistic. However it's not exactly a Deli by the technical definition but the food that they dish out from this small corner shop is foreign and kind of out of this place. We initially started with a Meatball hot-dog, Waffles with Maple Syrup and Melted butter and a Banana Shake. I was having the Banana Shake while she had ordered the other two. The shake was just the way I like it, thick enough to be slurped up through a straw and having just the right amount of sweetness. I had already eaten lunch before visiting this place and hence was reluctant to eat anything but one bite of the hot dog had me ordering a Club Sandwich and her a Pasta in Pink Sauce. To quite my surprise, the club sandwich was actually full filling to someone who loves their club sandwiches full of flavors. The chicken paste was creamy, vegetables were crisp and fresh, bacon extremely crispy. A tad bit too salty but can be clearly overlooked because of how well the sandwich is pieced together. The waffles definitely haven't changed a bit since she ate them 3 years ago and they've left quite an impression on me. The melted butter had this perfect mixture of salt that blended in complete unison with the maple syrup and waffles. The pasta in pink Sauce is quite good. I'm not a pasta person but I'd order it from this place again if I'd crave something else apart from their spectacular regulars. The Pizza is something that's ordered every alternate second so I'm definitely going to be back here for that. The portion sizes are extremely generous and the prices far more than reasonable. Seating is an issue in this place, but if you're lucky to get a table overlooking the street, you're surely in for...
Read moreBest place for desserts. Must-must try!! One of the best bakeries I have ever visited. Really a fan of their waffles. Would highly recommend this place for your sweet tooth.
Have visited this organised and cozy place a lot of times and tried multiple things. Blueberry waffle, Nutella waffle, Peach waffle, Chocolate Caramel Pudding, Veg. Lasagna, Peri Peri Cheesey Fried, Silken chocolate shake and Alfredo pasta.
With no doubt, all of their waffles are absolutely amazing. They are fresh, crispy, accurately sweet and topped. Same goes with the shakes. Fulfilling. But other foods apart from desserts is something we will not recommend. Their Lasagna, Pasta and even fries were not upto the mark. They were very basic, which one can get from a nearby local cafe as well. So, don't try the main course here. But in case of desserts, there's no match to this bakery.
Will cost around 300-600 rupees per head maximum. If you are not comfortable with a crowded space, then prefer visiting this place before evening.
Wenger's Deli is well managed, hygienic and properly maintained. Not really huge & spacious but sufficient enough. We have dined in all the time (and get to sit all the time as well). There's an option to take away as well. Their services are on time and the food is fresh as well (one can have a clear look at thei kitchen from the counter - hygienic). Uses wooden cutlery instead of plastic. Reasonable prices. The staff is helpful and polite. Cash and online payment (not wallet bht account transaction) is available.
Overall, all of my experiences with this place has been smooth and great. It's just the main course food which I didn't like much. Will visit this place soon to try more desserts. Do...
Read moreHistoric and quaint, this bakery is Very conveniently located in CP, they have history and a wide variety of sweet and savoury bakery items. The prices are quite mid-range and you’re quite spoilt for choice. Their Easter eggs are already available and they have a fair variety of Easter goodies and Hot Cross Buns and breads too. Tried some of the sweet items but found it a bit dry and very sweet. That may just be my personal taste because judging from the number of people there, it definitely seemed popular.
This is the oldest bakery in Delhi. After visiting there I realized why the place is so famous. I was amazed at the options available there. The place welcomes you with a fresh aroma of cakes, pastries, patties, doughnuts, pizza fresh dough as well as chocolates and caramel toffees. Wenger’s has got some exquisite bakery items and confectionery items; the taste remains to be one of the finest in town. You may try mutton Patty if non-vegetarian or mushrooms Patty if you are a vegetarian. Everything here is fresh and tasty from sandwiches to cakes to cookies to chocolate. We ended up buying their famous chicken patty and strawberry mousse, which indeed was the yummiest version of strawberry mousse. Those amazing food items bring a smile on your face. They do not have any other...
