Our recent evening outing to Saravana Bhawan in Connaught Place turned out to be a memorable family dining experience, cherished by all generations—from our grandmother to our youngest family member, the grandson. Renowned for its authentic South Indian vegetarian cuisine, the restaurant truly lived up to its reputation.

Located in the bustling heart of Delhi, the Connaught Place outlet of Saravana Bhawan welcomes you with a warm, traditional ambiance. What caught our attention immediately was the presence of an all-women staff, who were not only courteous but also efficient and attentive. Their hospitality added a graceful and respectful touch to the dining experience, making us feel comfortable and cared for.

As for the food, it was simply outstanding. We began with Rawa Masala Dosa, which was crisp, golden, and generously filled with spiced potato masala. The accompanying coconut chutney, tomato chutney, and piping hot sambar elevated the experience. The idlis were soft and fluffy, a perfect comfort food especially appreciated by the elderly members of our family. The medu vadas, crispy on the outside and soft within, were a hit across the table.

We also tried parathas, which, while being a North Indian item, were surprisingly well-made and a thoughtful addition for those looking for variety. Each dish reflected freshness and authenticity, showing the brand’s commitment to quality ingredients and traditional preparation methods.

The meal was perfectly rounded off with a cup of filter coffee—strong, aromatic, and served in a traditional steel tumbler, just the way it should be. For many of us, especially our grandmother, it brought back memories of old South Indian homes.

The service was prompt, the hygiene was impeccable, and the prices were reasonable given the prime location and quality of food. Overall, Saravana Bhawan at Connaught Place is an ideal spot for families seeking a pure, vegetarian South Indian meal in a clean, respectful and welcoming environment. Whether you're a seasoned lover of dosas and idlis or introducing your children to South Indian flavors, this restaurant is sure to impress. Highly recommended for a wholesome and heartwarming...

Ah, Saravana Bhavan, Connaught Place! The aroma of crispy dosas and steaming idlis instantly transports you to the heart of South India. Here's a glimpse into what you can expect:

Foodie's Paradise:

Dosa Delights: From the classic Masala Dosa to the adventurous Rava Onion Dosa, Saravana Bhavan's dosas are legendary. Each one is a masterpiece, with thin, crispy crepes encasing a flavorful potato filling and bursting with coconut chutney and sambar. Beyond Dosas: The menu is a vegetarian's dream, offering up a variety of idlis, uttapams, pongal, and vada. Don't miss the Mysore Masala Dosa, a ghee-roasted delight with a spicy potato filling. Sweet Endings: Finish your meal with a filter coffee, strong and aromatic, or a sweet treat like the kesari bath or the melt-in-your-mouth gulab jamun.

Ambiance and Service: Bustling Vibe: The Connaught Place outlet is always buzzing with activity, especially during peak hours. Be prepared for a lively atmosphere and a short wait if you're visiting for lunch or dinner. Warm Hospitality: The staff is friendly and efficient, always ready to guide you through the menu and make recommendations. Clean and Comfortable: The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, with comfortable seating and ample space for families and groups.

Tips for a Great Experience:

Go early or late to avoid the lunch and dinner rush. Don't be afraid to try something new! The menu is extensive and there's something for everyone. If you're short on time, opt for the thali sets, which offer a variety of South Indian dishes in one convenient meal. Don't forget to try the filter coffee! It's the perfect way to end your South Indian feast. Overall, Saravana Bhavan, Connaught Place is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic South Indian flavors. With its delicious food, friendly service, and lively atmosphere, it's a guaranteed...

I Visited This Place Yesterday With My Family. We Ordered Corn Cheese Uttapam, Butter Roast Masala Dosa, Onion Rava Masala Dosa, Cheese Veg Dosa And Butterscotch Shake. They serve South Indian, Beverages, Desserts And Juices. Their Location: P-13, Connaught Circle, Cannaught Place, New Delhi

Corn Cheese Uttapam: First Time I Tried Their Corn Cheese Uttapam And It Was So Yummy, Cheesy And Tasty. It Was Made With Lots Of Veggies And Cheese. It Was Served With Three Types Of Chutney And Sambhar. Highly Recommended. Taste: 5/5

Butter Roast Masala Dosa: This is one of my fav dosa because it is different from other dosa. It was so crispy, buttery and yummy. They served dosa with 3 types of chutney and sambhar. I really Loved It. Highly Recommended. Taste: 5/5

Cheese Veg Dosa: It Was Good But Not So Cheesy. There Was Less Cheese In Quantity. Cheese Veg Dosa Was Much Better In Janpath Outlet Than CP. Not Recommended For CP Outlet. Taste: 2/5

Onion Rawa Masala Dosa: First Time I Tried This. And It Was So Yummy. Must Try. Taste: 5/5

Butterscotch Shake: It Was Yummy. But It Was Not Tasted Like Butterscotch Shake. Taste: 3.5/5

Ambience: Ambience was good. Place was neat and clean. They Have Huge Space For Sitting; Ground Floor, First Floor, Second Floor & Third Floor Ambience: 5/5

Service: Service Was good. Staff was polite and courteous. Service: 5/5

Overall a good place to hangout with friends and family. One of the best place for dosa. I really loved their dosa specially their butter roast masala dosa. They have so many other varities of dosa and serve with 3 types of chutney. I have visited this place so many times before and always had a great experience But This Time I Was Little Disappointed. I Didn't Like Their Dosa Much. Hope So, Next Time Whenever I Will Visit The Place I Would Again...

Very good restaurant in CP.But during the peak times they make u wait outside, where there is no sitting area. You just need to stand outside for more than 20minutes which make u feel tired though. Its not good. They should take care of their customers who are standing outside. They should provide sitting arrangements to everyone. And the staff behavioür needs to improve especially the security who is standing outside. When talking about the food, the quality is good and delicious dishes.that's why i just reviewed four star. They took ten minutes to serve the food.A very good ambience and a good air conditioned hall. Then coming to next main point, a large number of customers are coming here daily, obviously proper washrooms are needed right ? They have only one washroom for male and one for female.I saw some customers are waiting for their toilet slot. Then,Back ground music was Awkward and Louder.Next point is, they provide good parking arrangements to their customers.Even though the area is limited , you will get your parking slot easily. So those who are coming by four wheels no need to worry. It is situated in the heart of CP , so that very easy to find out the location also. Then talking about the next main point is the food price. They charge little high for all dishes. For 3 idly, they charge around 115/- then normal south indian meals costs around 170/- and speacial meal 230/-. Juices starts from 100/- and goes upto 210/- with less quantity. My suggestion is to reduce the food price a little so that the nearby customers will also visit on daily basis.Overall my experience was good from this restaurant.I am satsified with the food which i have ordered.Neat and clean atmosphere.
