I had visited Lord of the Drinks CP recently with my friend, and hereâs my honest and detailed experience:
Booking & Entry: We booked our table via Zomato for two people (both male). Entry process was smooth, no hassle at all. Good start.
Food & Drinks: We ordered the following items: ⢠Chicken Wings ⢠Tandoori Prawns ⢠Barbeque Chicken Pizza ⢠8 Classic LIITs (4 each)
Food was delicious, perfectly cooked, and the cocktails were balanced and strong. On this part, absolutely no complaints â they lived up to the reputation.
Incident Inside: Unfortunately, my friend got overdrunk and vomited inside the male washroom basin. Not the best thing to happen, but these things can occur when someone is over the limit. I personally tipped the washroom staff, apologized, and he very politely smiled and said, âNo issues.â Kudos to him for handling it with grace â very professional.
Issue After Leaving the Outlet: After settling a bill of âš12,619, we stepped out and sat right in front, waiting for our Uber. My friend wanted some water. I went back to the entry desk and requested a glass/bottle of water. Shockingly, the person at entry flatly refused. I even mentioned that we just dined inside, my friend is drunk, and Iâm happy to pay for the water. Still â a blunt NO.
What made things worse was his statement: đ âAap jaise logon ko entry deni hi nahi chahiye â this stag entry. Mujhe itna sunnana pada aur aapka dost maa behen ki gaali de raha tha.â
Now, I have three very genuine questions here: What exactly does âAap jaise logonâ mean? If this is directed at people who come as stag males, then why allow the booking in the first place through Zomato? If you have such a mindset, better to mention it upfront. After paying such a heavy bill, is it too much to expect a glass of water? Especially when I was ready to pay for it. Hospitality is tested in such small moments â and this was a complete failure. If you claim my friend was abusive â did he abuse any staff, server, manager, or anyone inside? Because inside the restaurant, no such issue was raised, no staff complained, and we left smoothly. So why suddenly bring this up outside?
Final Verdict: ⢠Food & Ambience: 4.5/5 ⢠Washroom staff politeness: 5/5 (special mention, he was the most professional person that night) ⢠Hospitality & Guest Treatment (entry desk): 0/5
I am deeply disappointed with the way things ended. Hospitality is not just about good food and ambience, itâs also about how you treat your guests till the last moment. After spending over 12k, being denied even a glass of water and being told âAap jaise logon ko entry nahi deni chahiyeâ is plain insulting.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously and trains their front desk staff to handle such situations more maturely and...

Coming down to the food, you can enjoy handcrafted Global Cuisine from their menu that's varied and delicious. They specialize in Tapas and that's what most loved here with the drinks. I went there for a Weekday lunch and it was a great experience. I ordered:
Spiced Love: It's one of the LOD premium cocktails for spiced lovers like me, who don't like sweet drinks and a punch of heat in everything. This was a Tequila drink with cranberry, hints of spices inside and on the brim served with a slice of bell pepper. I loved the drink. It was simply Superb!!
Butter chicken Croquettes: One of the best Tapas I have tasted. Perfect to go with your drinks. Crispy outside and loaded with spiced butter chicken cubes, these were mouth melt-in and delightful. The spiced makhni dip to go along was finger licking good. It was a delicious dish.
Fish Fingers: Juicy crispy succulent fish Fingers that had a mouth feel and melt-in at the same time. Served with a tartar dip, these fingers in a metal basket was super yum.
Cheese Pesto Arancini: Beautiful Presentation on the bed of Pesto, these Fusion Arancini tasted cheesy and creamy. Loved it.
Non Veg Platter: For the Tandoori lovers, this is a platter loaded with Kebabs, and Tandoori skewers. The spiced quotient was well balanced and the mint dip, papad rolls and onion rings made it delicious to taste.
Overall, LOD is a place that can LIT anyone's mood. It's a place that truly deserves a bow and a must visit. Will be...
Read moreA wonderful place. At the heart of CP, which is at the heart of Delhi, it's a little sad to see they never have all the drinks they keep on the menu but they can still strafe along for me now.
The best thing about there - Ambience. As soon as you enter, the hollow sculptures of knights, warriors and a Johnnie Walker-esque statue welcome you which really sets up the mood and make you feel you are not in a restaurant which sets up its themes in medieval times and is in touch with modern times as well.
Food is nice, they try to mix it up and make fusion dishes out of the conventional ones and to an extent, they succeed as the dishes retain a good taste.
Seatings are good, they've kept a few couches which help you relax after shaking a leg on the dance floor (which is again quite big), sound is also good but a tad loud courtesy of the speakers. They've also provided a smoke zone and a Terrace as well which was closed both the times I went (although I came to know from my friends who are regular visitors there that it remains closed most of the times).
Crowd is good and well behaved too. You wouldn't see a brawl that you'd expect to happen in a Delhi bar (which are already hardly in number) which is a commendable job on part of the people running it. The elite class of crowd could also be seen there who book a very large area or table at the flanks and keep on doing their thing.
Coming to Music, it's nice. They do play good party songs on Fridays and Saturdays but to my disappointment, they called up a live singer(or singers) who were more often than not showcasing their singing skills which at least failed to raise my hopes to best the monday morning blues and the choice of songs was questionable too which makes a point to ponder whether live singers should be given a chance to perform at all on the weekends at such a place or not!
Overall, I could be wrong but it's a place located in s city which is not really well versed with the pub or bar culture but they have still managed to carry out an admiring job and are continuing to do so which makes it worthy of 4.5 stars and worth your money to spend your time there which you would eventually admit to be better than...
