Zing — Restaurant in New Delhi

I visited the Zing restaurant last night and food was of average quality and food preparation took time but the staff is just excellent and hence the four star rating. The Manager Diwakar at the restaurant is an exceptional person and truly believes in customer service and if you find any problem with the food, he will immediately replace it or take it back. He is quite courteous and so os the rest of the staff. But I feel that food needs to be improved and maybe the Chef needs to be changed and food is not at par with major restaurants in Connaught Place like The Embassy and The Host and United Coffee House. The Manager Diwakar was quite considerate and listened with patience at my suggestions and comments and this is the kind of people we need in the Hospitality Industry! They charge 18% + 10% on food, but later they remove only 10% service charge that they added without asking. Accourding to govt. GSt rules on food no one can charge more thn 5% tax. I told them to add some oviles on the Pizza they charge me Rs. 450 for for adding few olives and the magager did't told me about additional charges during the order. After bill gegeration when I see the bill thn I asked him that why u charge 850 + tax on the Pizza which is Rs. 500 on the menu. Then he told me that sir u said add olives that's y we charged, that is unbeliavable, and one more imp. thing they takes around 1 hour to make a soup and a veg. no onion no garlic pizza. I would have given 5 stars if the food was prepared faster. Don't come once you're already starving. The Shish Taouk and Khao Suey were amazing. At first I couldnt find the chicken in the Khao Suey, the chef brought out more and personally showed me that the chicken was very thinly slice almost looking like noodles. "Chef Shacur" was incredibly patient and gave his full attention to ensure we were pleased with our meals. Taste 10/10, staff hospitality 10/10, speed of food 5/10 BUT worth the wait. Thanks...
