Just Parathas(Pure Vegetarian) — Restaurant in Puducherry

We weren't really hungry when we decided to hop into this place for a light snacking dinner at 10 pm! But lo, we ended up eating four lip smacking parathas one after the other with no stop :) The parathas were Extremely tasty! (Mixed veggies was the tastiest for me.) (Although we were the last 2 people and ours was the last order for the day, the panditji owner prepared and served the hot parathas with curds + butter+ tomato chutney + jaggery-tamarind sauce with much interest and care! had Also I had chance to chat with the owner's 6th class studying little daughter. She was helping her dad in accounts and was also revising her lessons for the next day's class! She was very sweet!) The place is small with few tables. The best Parantha's eaten after a long time. It fails Murthal and Paranthe wali gali as well. The paranthas are made fresh with dough made of wheat instead of maida. It is sure to tickle all types of taste buds, the spice level as per individual instruction, served with butter, curd and three types of Chatni's. You can order tea separately, if you like to take parantha with it like me. Parantha lovers can not miss going to this place.

Recent update after 2 years: The parantha's continue to be tasty but they don't use onion. I am not able to recollect if it was the case earlier. It is a bummer and disappointment to have no option to add onion in your parantha. Also, the third chutney was no longer served this time. The service was a lot quicker...

I have had the best paratha ever—and it came from a humble little paratha corner tucked away in the heart of Pondicherry.
