A minimalist but premium restaurant placed in the serene picturesque french colony lane. A perfect evening romantic dineout option. It's a multi cuisine restaurant and not a typical North Indian restaurant alike its name. Theme is simple, they have an indoor and open seating area, seperate in the ground floor and roof area. You'll be greated with aroma of good food and courtesy right from the beginning! Their food and drink menu is made of selected items, which has all, non veg and veg, with vegan as an options on some of their dishes. We went around 8:30 and were shocked when the waiter said this will be the last order since the restaurant is closing. So we chose their famous, Miss saigon bowl, and what a presentable dish it was. It was visually appetising and totally fulfilled the hype we have read online. Although it will be bland for some, due to our pallate habits and the quinoa might feel a bit dry on eating, so be cautious about it. Which is totally right quinoa being a coarse grain. Rest everything is just great. The ambience is perfect, located on the main street, near the beach so you can have a stroll after your dinner. The place is quite and pleasing, you'll definitely have a great time with your company here.

Dilliwaala6 is located few meters from the auroville beach . It's a very attractive looking restaurant , its pretty famous for north Indian food so you can ask locals for directions if ur a tourist . Coming to food we ordered - 1.vegetable jalfarezi - its really yummy ! Filled with veggies and the right amount of spice for me ( which means it is a little spicy ) . The curry was extremely delicious with roti and naan . 2.palak panner - again the palak panner was really yummy , it had liberal chunks of panner and tasted really good with the naans. 3.dal tadkha - it was creamy and spicy just the way it should be , the dal is very authentic , it was very tasty with the naans 4.tandoori naan - was burnt to just the right amount but still was soft ! 4.butter kuclha - would have preferred a little more butter , but It was good 5.lacha parota - it was really tasty , it was soft too . The ambience is amazing ! The whole place is air conditioned so no need to worry about the heat !. The decor is also amazing with bright coloured walls and chairs ! The place definitely leans towards expensive side . Must visit once for the decor at least !

Must, must, must visit place to eat in pondicherry. I just absolutely loved the food here, it is very much Delhi style. The two days that we we're in Pondicherry we went both the days, once for lunch and dinner. We had North Indian the first day, we had the dum aloo and it was super yummy, also the breads are thin and crispy and rice cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the caramel custard and it was so nice and melted in the mouth. The next day when we went for dinner we wanted to have continental but unfortunately the chef was not available as it was Diwali but that could be ignored as the food here be it any cuisine is really good. We ordered a paneer starter which was good. The gulab jamun here was drool worthy and the kulfi was good too. They need to improve a bit on their service as it's a bit slow but the food is so good that everything is worth the wait. Outside is an open air Cafe and inside the restaurant, you also get chaats between 4 to 7 and the interiors are quirky and fun. Loved it 😍. PS - you also get Jain food here which is difficult to find at most places in Pondicherry.

Cleanliness: 4 stars. The place was clean. Food: 3 stars. The food was between okay and good. We had ordered a virgin mojito, three lemon sodas, one palak dal, one bowl of basmati rice and some starters such as the tandoori platter. We had went here for dinner after walking on the side of Promenade Beach. The lemon sodas were very sour and it was as if they had got all the lemons in the kitchen leftover and had put it in ours. The virgin mojito was also a little sour but was okay for me as I like sour things. The best was the tandoori platter and the palak dal. The were savoury and delicious. The only thing that me and my sister were upset about were that they did not have a simple bowl of curd! It was disappointing as we both needed some curd rice so badly because of the heat but they neither had curd rice nor a bowl of curd. Overall an okay place to spend an evening after a walk at the Promenade Beach and to relax for some time.

A nice restaurant with good ambience in Pondy for all North Indian Items to dine in and out. Service and food quality taste is great. They do have many varieties of North Indian dishes and you would feel it authentic. Just tried few dishes and all were good. This restaurant is build recently Just near the ashram to attract the trendy crowd comes to Pondy for visit. Staffs are good in behaviour. Service is done very fast to keep customers happy. A very good desert option available but the price is little high. Again the prices of all other items are slightly high if you see the quantity. The outside dine doesn’t have AC. Adding few of the pics from the restaurant form my dinner. Should help the review readers and the people to visit Pondy. Thanks you all and have a great visit to Pondy. Cheers!!

Wanted to have some North Indian vegetarian food so decided to visit this restaurant and we were not decided at all. We ordered for the below food items - Aloo Mutter - The vegetable was nice. With medium pieces of aloo cut in red gravy with mutter. Diwani Handi Sabzi - this green colour gravy vegetable was delicious. We enjoyed it a lot. Paneer kulcha - Flavoursome kulcha. It was good. Garlic roti - The garlic rotis were all delectable with the correct amount of garlic on the roti. Really enjoyed it and highly recommended. Peach ice tea - It was nice and refreshing. Orange vegan cake - It was a moreish cake! Absolutely loved it! All in all, enjoyed everything we ordered here and highly recommend visiting here for some nice North Indian food in this union territory south of India.
