Authentic Punjabi Flavors & Warm Hospitality – 5⭐
If you're in Puducherry and craving delicious, authentic Punjabi food at budget-friendly prices, look no further than Punjabi Dhaba. This place offers a homely dining experience, with flavors that transport you straight to Punjab.
The food here is absolutely fantastic. The Dal Tadka and Kadhai Paneer are simply wow—rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The Palak Paneer is another must-try, with its creamy texture and spot-on seasoning. The Aloo Paratha, Tandoori Roti, and Tawa Roti are soft, fresh, and pair beautifully with the curries. The Dal Makhani is very good, though it could be slightly better—but still a great option.
Beyond the food, what truly makes this place special is the hospitality. The owner and his son are incredibly polite, helpful, and soft-spoken. They not only serve food with warmth but can also assist with other needs if required, making you feel truly welcomed.
With great food, reasonable prices (₹200-₹300 per person), and outstanding hospitality, this is a highly recommended spot for anyone looking for a satisfying Punjabi meal in Puducherry. You will...
Read moreFood was awesome so delicious except the lachcha parata. Rate just worth for that quantity even I felt the Rate is less compared to pondi market. Quality of the food was also impressive Atmosphere was like the rooftop was beautiful but the path to rooftop way bizarre. Plates felt little untidy and old. Service was a kind not so impressive like the waiters wasn't actually interested in the business like attitude. We had to ask about water, tissues, which got asking after few times. Missing one item for which we had to wait another 10 minutes. But the owner/Manger not sure was soft spoken guy nice person. Concluding in overall experience was good. We definitely catch up next time.
Hey, I visited once more in October this time food and price was as same as told earlier but too unhygienic actually on that day we were in a group that I didn't observe this much. The the staffs are not attentive as usual and the manager/ owner was also behaving rudely to the customers. Didn't visited after this and won't be recommending to...
Read moreOne of my frequent destinations for a heavy dinner. This place is apt for a dinner with your gang. Seating and ambience: basically this is a house which has been convereted into a restaurant. So, there are tables and chairs in all rooms. However, the highlight is the terrace and balcony seatings. The balcony seating may not be open at all times. The terrace tables may be fully occupied during peak times. You can enjoy your food along with cool breeze on the terrace. Cleanliness: Okayish. Not commendable. Food: North Indian delicacies available, both vegetarian ane non-vegetarian. You should definitely try the Jaljeera soda. Chicken hariyali, Afghani chicken, egg burji etc. are recommended. If you have space left in your tummy, you can have the yummy kheer for dessert. Price: reasonable. When you have food as a group and split the bill, it would come around to Rs...
