Aware Maratha Khanawal — Restaurant in Pune

Recently went for shopping on Lakshmi Road Pune and then after shopping we have decided to go to Aware Khanawal for mutton treat🤤

We have ordered chicken thali, mutton thali and chicken biryani ( tupatali).

Talking about the taste it was best as usual. It was find mix of all spices, not so oily , mutton was cooked to perfection, quantity was good too.

In one mutton thali you will get two bhakari/ three chapati, mutton sukka, thanda rassa, padhara rassa, alani pani, salad, khoma and that is all one can desire to be in ideal mutton plate😍🤤.

Quantity wise it was good and more than enough for one person, rassa is unlimited you can ask for more if you want.

Cost wise, it was very pocket friendly, mutton thali cost me only 250 rs and chicken thali for 200, felt like icing on the cake😍

The only concern with aware thali is wating list, you have to wait patiently outside the restaurant till the time they call your name and wating period can be between 15-45 min depending on pick time.

Overall if you want to taste good food and ready to sacrifice some time for it, I feel it's the best place to go when you are at...

An instagram reel recommended this restaurant, so I visited it and I was quite satisfied with its taste. The quantity was enough for 1 person, the taste was delicious and spicy as hell, prices were reasonable and the service was quick. The restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the building with a ground floor dedicated for takeaways. The entrance to the seating area on the 1st floor is only through steps with no ramps or elevators. So I would say the entrance is not wheelchair friendly. i tried their kharda chicken and chapati. The kharda chicken was spicy. They also serve tamda and pandhra rassa complementary to all dishes, with unlimited refills. The service was quick. The staff was very professional and friendly. The waiter didn't hesitate to ask me for additional chapattis or another refill of Tambda pandhra rassa. I visited the place at 12.30pm in the afternoon, so I was lucky to find the restaurant empty. Ordered Mutton Masala Thali. Idk, whether all Punekar have lost the Taste Buds or being typical Punekar only. Exaggeration of Everything. (पुणे तिथे काय उणे)

The only thing to acknowledge about this place is, Masala is Homemade and less Oily. Except this, not at all worth the hype.

Pandhara Rassa- Just keeping it up to its name. Just White Rassa. You guys are yet to taste the original one.

Tambada Rassa- I would rate this better than everything in the thali. Good taste.

Alani Rassa- I have had better in Pune itself. Not worth the hype once again.

Mutton Masala- Except Homemade, nothing to take note of. It is just homemade, no taste. If you take a bite of Bhakri with Masala/ Gravy, you can taste 2 different tastes. Not merging with one another.

Mutton Khima- Ok ok taste.

Indrayani Rice- There is nothing much you can do with it. It comes with its own taste and texture.

Bhakri- Well roasted, thin. 👍
