If you're a non-veg food lover in Pune, Minal Khanawal in Sadashiv Peth is a place you must try! I recently visited this spot and was impressed by the lively atmosphere, wide variety of non-veg dishes, and the quality of food they serve. The place is quite crowded, especially during lunch and dinner hours, which itself is a sign of how popular and loved this eatery is.
Food Experience
I ordered the Chicken Tandoor Thali, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken tandoori was perfectly cooked – juicy, tender, and full of smoky flavor. The spices were balanced just right, and the portion was generous. The thali also included complementary items like curry, chapati, rice, and salad, which made it a wholesome and fulfilling meal.
Variety & Options
Minal Khanawal offers a huge variety of non-veg thalis and dishes, especially chicken and mutton items. Whether you're in the mood for fried, grilled, or curry-style meat, they have it all. Their menu is a treat for anyone who enjoys rich Maharashtrian-style non-veg food.
Ambience & Service
Though the place gets crowded, the service is quick and efficient. The staff manages the rush well and ensures orders are served hot and fresh. The seating is simple but clean and comfortable for a quick, satisfying meal.
Final Verdict
Minal Khanawal is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, spicy, and tasty non-veg food in Pune. Their Chicken Tandoor Thali is a highlight, and with so many options on the menu, you’ll want to come back to try more. Highly recommended for...
Read moreWe went to Minal restaurant yesterday. And it was awesome. The taste is amazing. We ordered Chicken Masala thali and Chicken fry thali both were really tasty. Chicken gravy is tasty. They served chicken leg pieces in both thalis. The chicken was very well cooked.
Then there are 3 rassa in the plate. Tambda pandhara and alani rassa. The three of them were equally really tasteful and the best part is unlimited. Then there is Kaleji fry. Actually chicken kaleji doesn't taste that good. But in here they make it very tasty. I loved it.
Bhakari - Jowar and Bajari and wheat roti were the option. Bhakari was ok ok. It don't give you gharcha feel. Bcoz you make the best bhakari(haha)
Then they served rice there were two options jeera rice and indrayani rice. Indrayani rice was really watery. Actually in pune itself they really don't know how to make indrayani rice
After having a meal they have Souf, sweet souf and jaggery. I really like the jaggery option. It is really thoughtful having jaggery after a meal. I actually recommend everyone to have a little jaggery after a meal. It makes acidity go away. And there is a craving for sweets that makes...

Don't have high expectations from the food here. This place is recommended for Guys and their Boy groups who can enjoy as it's already quite noisy and Guys would enjoy it, surely not recommended for family dinner. Overall will...
