Cafe Starboy — Restaurant in Pune

Was tempted to visit Starboy due to the neon saying "Chinese" food. Aundh doesn't have too many of these options and hence the trip!

Ordered a Manchow Soup, Chicken Black Bean & Rice combo and a Black Currant Ice Tea.

Soup was a decent quantity but very watery. Rice combo was decent portion but had no salt. I thought the Black Currant Ice Tea would save the day but it turned out very very sweet 😋

More woes were the soup and rice combo were served 4 minutes apart. I thought they would have the sense to let me finish the soup but that was not the case. So the rice cooled off while I finished the soup. My iced tea which should have arrived first actually came right at the end of the meal - that too because I had to remind them 😅.

Wasn't a good experience but I will try them once again since i have seen what can go wrong...

2 on 5 for this visit. Maybe more if they can raise their standards...

Perfect place for to satisfy your food craving. Given that the place is having plenty options which serve fast food in chinese and a mix of other snacky options you can choose from. Chinese meals are recommended if you are looking for a filling meal like portion of Singaporean Noodles with Drums of heaven ( lollipop). There are also variety of fresh waffles you can order with choices of filing. I personally love the Kurkure momos which i beleive not many other outlets serve in and around this area, have tried in other outlets. But these are best as per me. Best place to hangout with your gang for evenings and late...

Not sure why this place has such a good rating. The food was below average. There are table settings outside, but the inside behind the counter didn't look really appealing. The burnt garlic noodles were quite tasteless, it missed burnt garlic. The noodles tasted stale or being made in a pan that was not cleaned. The French fries also tasted like they were fried in old oil. Though it seemed to be a popular place with youngsters, there are better places in the vicinity.
