The legacy of roof-top enigma and the sparkling grandeur of the NIBM outlet continues. The Aundh version has similar vibes, a more casual ambience and some spectacular views of the vicinity.
Atmosphere here is breezy and has some peppy music playing in the background while we can gulp down some amazing cocktails and enjoy the culinary Levit8 expanse.
We were in a group and had reached there a little early. The place was almost empty and give us the freedom to grab the seating arrangement of our choice. We settled in no time and order ourselves the best of cocktails.
We tried Market yard, amazing flavour of turmeric infused gin that goes perfectly well with the Piri Piri Chicken popcorn. Next up was the Spicy Cheesy khaboos, which I would recommend to everyone. The spicy green chilli mixed well in the cheesy stuffing wrapped by a soft and fresh bread. We also tried the Levit8 LIIT which was amazing! Unique kahwa flavors and some decent aroma was the highlight.
Then we tried the Rajasthani Lal Maas (lamb cooked in spicy dry gravy). This was having the fragrance of rare cooked meat, which is typical to the Rajasthani way of cooking. This was yummy. We also wanted to try some seafood starter and ordered the Bhut ke Jhinge. These were fresh prawns cooked in a spicy masala of Bhut Jholakiya (spicy chilli bombs). This totally cleared the palette and we were literally smoking through our ears. This went really well with the Bloody Mary (it could have a little more concentrated but felt little dilute).
We wanted to try something unique and the staff recommended the Frango Churasco. This is a plated meal with grilled chicken breasts topped with guava rum sauce paired very well with mash potato and rice. This was really amazing and is a total winner. If you like the combination of sweet and spicy, this is a must have at Levit8 Aundh.
We wanted to try the Macaroni Carbonara but the kitchen had run out of bacon. We then opted the Spaghetti Chicken and it was good enough. For the Indian cuisine lovers in the group, we had ordered the chicken rahra and that received a lot of praises as well. They are working on the desserts menu so we had to failover on a ice cream parlor nearby .
Overall it was a good experience, food is the highlight here and the cocktails and the 360 view is a bonus. This place will sure guarantee a gala...
Read moreextra extra "The uber posh Pune west adds another feather in the cap. After rocking all of NIBM, Levit8 has opened its doors in Aundh." Yes! Anyone who has been to Levit8 NIBM, knows for a fact that they stand for great food, great service and a beautiful dine out location.
I had no less expectations from their operations in Aundh and I was not at all disappointed. The concept is quite similar to the one in NIBM. They have a big rooftop dine out and comfortable indoor seating.
Service was excellent throughout. Knowledgeable staff and prompt service. I do however, feel that the servers can step up their knowledge about the drinks specially the cocktails.
Make no mistake, this is a pricey restaurant but on the hindsight, the food is unquestionably one of the best you can eat in Pune. They do serve several cuisines, including Chinese and Indian.
Dishes that you must try are -
Bhut ke Jhinge (basically prawns stir fried in bhoot jolokia ie. ghost pepper. CAUTION - Extremely hot!), Sichuan chilli chicken and Rajasthani Sukha Maas (which is succulent mutton in a dry, hot red sauce, prepped Rajathani style), uber amazing!
For the main course you have to try the gosht nihari (juicy mutton with thick gravy) with ofcourse some fantastic steam basmati and for a one plate dish go for the Frango Churassco containing a large grilled chicken breast with steamed veggies, mashed potatoes and rice. Just perfect !
Amazingly enough, their cocktails are too unique and probably can only be found here across Pune. Drinks like 'Market yard', 'Thangabally', 'Blood and sand' , 'The red wedding' etc.
Interested in their composition, visit the place for yourself and experience it.
Overall despite being pricey, the entire experience is worth every buck! Good vibes, great food and music, great service! What more do you...
Read moreIt is a huge huge place with an ample amount of seating . I loved the open space , lighting and furniture is top notch , one can say its a fine dine place.
Coming to the food . We ordered a pretty good amount of starters and drinks .
⭕Kunming chilli cottage cheese ( 4/5 ) - The crispy paneer was tossed in a chilli sauce with some spices and the thing is the cottage cheese was really fresh and good .
⭕ Gong bao mushrooms (5/5) - The juicy mushroom captured in that crisp layer of cornflour and tossed in some chinese sauce , what else could you want in life?
⭕ Jerked chicken tikka (4/5) - it was good, scullent and scrumptious meat but it was just too oily , way too much.
⭕ Nachos (3/5) - chicken nachos were loaded and everything but the problem with it was the base itself , nachos. The corn chips were just not edible , they were raw and didn't seem like nachos at all. They switched it with another serving, which is great hospitality ,it was better but the chips were just not real deal.
⭕ Chickenzaraa (4/5)- a chicken pizza and their signature pizza, it was served in a thali which was new to me but it looked pretty good , tasted good as well but it was dry , just too dry.
⭕ Garlic prawns (5/5) - juicy , creamy , flavourful and fresh . It was a perfect starter one could ask for . Do try it out ..
In the drinks we had rose mary marlo , energizer and berryfrozen colada and between them berryfrozen is a must to try out .
Desserts were gulab jamun which were good , they don't have a separate desserts menu .
