There was always a lack of japanese restaurant in this part of the town, and Ginkgo does fill in the gap perfectly.
The food quality is top notch, the staff is extremely polite.
As soon as we sat down, we were served a small cup of japanese tea, which is definitely not for everyone. P.s. if you enjoy black coffee you won't mind it as much. Tea was without caffeine ofcourse. Then we ordered an avocado california rolls. This was surprisingly good (Sushi is generally known as an acquired taste). I was particularly fan of the initial taste, but after a couple of bite the flavours started popping and I enjoyed it. Since sushi is cold you have to chew a little bit inorder to extract flavours (If you ever had cold pizza you would know). Also the seaweed gave it a distinct saltiness, like having the taste of a fish without actually eating one. If we talk about the price, I personally feel it was definitely not worth 500 rupees, 350 rupees feels more appropriate. I would give it a solid 7/10.
Next we ordered Shouyu ramen. I personally didn't try it because i was having veg, but according to my partner it was an amazing dish too. One complaint she had was with the rendered chicken fat added on top of the ramen, she wasn't a fan of it. The rest of the topping however were extremely good. One tip would be to eat the ramen asap as they can get soggy siting in the broth.
Over all an amazing experience, something new and different to try out....
Read moreAn evening that started with exhaustion ended in extraordinary warmth, and I have Gingko to thank for that.
In a quiet moment of self-companionship, I decided to take a spontaneous drive, and what awaited me was not just dinner ; it was an opera on a plate. Each dish wasn’t just food; it was a canvas serenaded with ingredients, a performance composed with love, humility, and reverence for the craft. From Chef B's deep-rooted passion to the team’s quiet attentiveness, Gingko offered me not drama or dazzle but pure heart.
What truly struck me wasn’t just the freshness of every bite, but the sincerity that came with it. No pretense. Just beauty. Just soul. And in that stillness, while I sat with my book and matcha, I felt something incredibly rare in a restaurant ; a feeling akin to a mother’s care. That silent, nourishing kind of love. That tenderness in detail. That assurance that you’re seen, even in your solitude.
Chef B even took the time to share with me the mindful ritual behind preparing matcha : its spirit, its poetry and it reminded me that learning never stops when curiosity meets kindness.
Gingko wasn’t just a meal; it was a pause, a reset, a reminder that joy can be quietly profound. I left with a heart full of gratitude, a soul fed in every sense, and the gentle promise to return not just once in a blue moon, but whenever I need to feel...

Ambience is quite good and has many decorations related to Japanese culture. Service and Food was superb and authentic. Not many restaurants can serve authentic Japanese cuisine as this restaurant. I’d highly recommend to checkout this restaurant.
We ordered :
Silken Tofu Gomae Salad: Tofu was silky as described in the dish name.
Chicken Karaage : This was the highlight of our order in non veg section. The crispy on outside and tender chicken inside is a must try.
Avocado California Roll: I liked this sushi the most. The combination of cream cheese and avocado makes it yumm.
Tori Paitan Karamiso & Tonkotsu Ramen: Both Ramen were delicious and noodles were freshly prepared which made the dish more delectable.
Tomato Karamiso Ramen: I’d highly recommend this dish to vegetarians. The richness of broth and soft noodles are to die for.
Kombucha: This is packed soft drink which was good.
Matcha Tiramisu: Tiramisu was liked by my friends.
Also, they served complimentary barley tea.
That’s all for this time. I’d like to checkout more of their menu in future. Prices here can be justified by the authenticity of the food they serve and service they offer.
They’ve plenty of parking space and they accept online payments.
ご馳走様でした!!!!(...
