Irani Cafes are famous all over the Country for their Irani chai and also a host of other grub like Bun maska,Chai,Kheema Pav and so on.. I particularly am fond of their iconic run the mill Bun maska- true to all Parsi/ Irani Cafes all over the Country, food is delectable. Tried few delecacy from there kalyaninagar outlet : Chicken Kheema Pav- Kheema well minced and cooked with spices and condiments not that spicy but yet flavourfull & goes perfect with the Pav (bread). Its insanely tasty!! Fully loaded Bun with maska (butter) along with chai oh ho ho !- Soft, slight sweet with cherry and tutty fruity chips and maska. Nice to eat with a sip of Chai. Cheese Omelette: Another great dish here is different types of Omelette ive tried cheese omelette loaded cheese with egg were enough for one's appetite and were truly delish. Chicken cutlets -Nicely minced chicken with spices & there flavour were delectable. Jujeh kebab : Were barbequeed tandoor which light prefectly cooked with the butter on the top were devine. Chicken Berry Pulav/Briyani : They do ive options for vegetarians too they have Paneer Berry pulav & also Mutton berry Biryani/pulav.Its similar like biryani but berries are the sugar on the top to the pulav freshly cooked chicken along with spices light, little bit sweet, tangy perfect for the dinner. Also they've introduced Bakery products like Corrosaint,Cheese Corrosaint & Chocolate Corrosaint. In dessert in which coconut cake is the iconic one but they also have Baklava & different types of Cheesecake Like Blueberry Cheesecake, hazelnuts, red velvet, truffel& Chocolate Cheesecake. Must visit for a breakfast,Lunch or Dinner..or even for a small evening hunger..Worth every Penny.Service is real quick and the staff is kind n prompt, shahruk helped us to choose some good option from the extensive menu.Overall had a great time.Loved Everything!.Thank you team

Irani cafes and punekars have a very strong bond with each other. Irani cafes are generally famous for their bun maska-chai, omelette, bhurji. Well, there are many iconic irani cafes in pune but how does 'The Irani Cafe' differs from them? The answer is that they have modernized the cafe but having the roots and food same as that of the old cafes. This is the 2nd outlet out of 4 and I visited this recently. The seating arrangement is simple yet classic as that of the irani cafes. The tables are close to each other just like in all the irani cafes. You can either seat on the ground floor or the upper floor. We tried some bakery items and some egg dishes and all were really good. 1. Masala Cheese Omelette(Rs.95) : This was so yum. A nice and fluffy omelette had onions, some tomatoes in it and and a generous amount of cheese was grated on it. If you eat this whole omelette, you'll definitely get full. 2. Cheese Bhurji (Rs.80) : A typical irani bhurji with lots of cheese on top, just too good. The spices, amount of onion, all were just on point. Really liked this. 3. Paneer Berry Pulao(Rs.300) : This one I tried for the first time, and it wasn't bad actually. There was a mild, tomato based gravy with paneer in it. It was topped with aromatic rice and barberries. The owner told us that these barberries are specially imported from the Iran. If you like very spicy food then you may feel this a little bland but overall it was nice. 4. Lamington Cake(Rs.30) : #toogood. This was basically a layered sponge cake. It was coated with chocolate and coconut which gave a very nice texture. This cake was so moist from inside. Loved it! They have a variety of bakery items like mawa cake, coconut cake, roat which were looking really good. Also, this time I couldn't try their bun maska which I'm gonna definitely try in my next visit.

A place that once started with excellent management is now run like a street side kiosk. With a seating of around 100 or more there r 2 guys to take orders. We ordered for chai (without malai), cheese bun maska, akuri to be specifically served along with toast butter. The toast butter and "malai" chai got served first. Had to send the malai chai back. The toast sat on the table waiting for the akuri to arrive which came 15 mins later with God knows what liquid floating around. No coordination in the order service. I'm a parsi and I definitely know what an akuri is. Please don't feed people any rubbish in the name of parsi food. My daughter ordered for a raspberry soda with her bun cheese maska. The server roamed around the entire place from table to table with our open soda bottle before he finally realized I was staring at him waiting for the soda. The frustrating part is when one has to keep waving out to grab the captains attention for placing an order rather than sit and enjoy the company and food. Spoke to the owner at the counter about the service and the akuri, he was happy to charge it and hand me the bill with a smile. I definitely don't think he cared a bit about my feedback. Please note i do have pics and videos to back up my review. Absolutely ridiculous service and absolute mockery of parsi food. Long story short; the place doesn't need to be extraordinarily special with exotic food. A SIMPLE well managed place can also enhance the whole dining experience.

Hyderabad and Mumbai are the cities that are most popular for the Iranian Cafes/Restaurants but also Pune fortunately has its own share of Parsi cuisine-based restaurants like Irani Cafe that are immensely loved and popular, and are also visited very frequently by the residents here. I am a huge fan of Irani/Parsi food, so I make it my priority to visit almost all the Irani restaurants in town. I recently had the opportunity to visit Irani Cafe at Kalyani Nagar and I am very glad to say, this place definitely lived up to my expectations. This Cafe-Restaurant has a wide variety in the menu compared to most other cafes as it serves both Breakfast as well as Lunch/Dinner options. The seating is decent with a wide area for you grab a comforting breakfast or a delicious meal with your friends and colleagues. Now i would like to go into the details of what food I tried here and how I liked it : Irani Cafe is mostly popular for its Breakfast. Many of us spend most of our peaceful Sunday mornings enjoying Bun Maska or Jam Roll while sipping on Hot Irani Chai.

And for most of us it is also the only favourite place in town for the best Cheese Omelettes and a cup of traditional Irani Black Tea.

Personally, for me the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Parsi food is Kheema. This is one recipe that the Iranian restaurants never go wrong with and also one of the most recommended dishes here. Irani Cafe has the options of Chicken/Mutton Kheema and also Chicken/Mutton Kheema Gotala. When you do visit here for lunch or dinner do not miss the Kebab with Rice & Pulao options in the Menu. The Kebabs are mildly spiced, mixed with Persian Herbs and Saffron bringing out the authentic Persian flavor in every bite.

Chicken Kheema and Joojeh Kebab[/caption] Combine them with the options of Cold Beverages like Lemon Ice Tea, Shekanjabeen or some Sweet Cold Coffee and here is the best and perfect meal for one.

And yes do not forget, that this cafe is also very well known for its amazing variety for cakes (Cheese / Mousse Cakes) , Pastries, Bakery products etc. But what I would particularly recommend here are the mango/blueberry cheesecake, coconut pastry, strawberry/chocolate mousse cake and yes of course a variety of biscuits and cookies for you to carry home.

I have particularly always enjoyed the food here and am very thankful for keeping the culture of Persian food alive in India and it is one of my favourite cuisine. Do visit and let me know what is your favourite dish...

It offers a nostalgic experience with its old-world charm and traditional Irani café vibes. It’s a place that attracts both locals and visitors looking to enjoy classic Irani dishes and beverages in a cozy setting.

The ambiance of Irani Cafe is one of its highlights. The decor, with vintage posters, wooden furniture, and a relaxed atmosphere, transports you back to a bygone era. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy a leisurely meal or a cup of tea.

The menu at Irani Cafe features a variety of traditional Irani and Parsi dishes. The bun maska and chai are must-tries, offering a comforting and authentic taste. Other popular items include the keema pav, egg preparations, and a selection of pastries and desserts. The quality of the food is generally good, but there are times when certain dishes can be inconsistent in terms of flavor and presentation.

Service at Irani Cafe can be a bit of a mixed bag. While some staff members are friendly and attentive, others can be less responsive, especially during busy hours. This inconsistency can affect the overall dining experience, leading to longer wait times for orders and bill settlement.

Cleanliness is another area where the cafe could improve. While the dining area is usually well-kept, the restrooms and certain corners of the cafe can sometimes fall short of acceptable hygiene standards. Regular cleaning and better maintenance would enhance the overall experience for patrons.

The pricing at Irani Cafe is reasonable, making it an accessible option for casual dining. However, the value for money can vary depending on the dish and the day, given the occasional inconsistency in food quality and service.

In summary, Irani Cafe in Kalyani Nagar offers a charming and nostalgic dining experience with some delicious traditional dishes. However, improvements in service consistency and cleanliness would significantly elevate the experience. It remains a decent spot for a casual meal or a tea break, deserving of a three-star rating. With a few tweaks, it has the potential to be a much more appealing destination for...

one of the best Irani cafe in Pune in Kalyani Nagar. With its high ceilings, wooden chairs, checkered table cloth, no credit cards evoke the charm and nostalgia of a bygone era. What really stood out were the stairs at the entrance to assist people who may find it difficult to climb the stairs…it just brought a smile to my face. There is something mystical yet comforting about all this old Iranian cafes in pune. Now a days there are lots of contemporary restaurants and new world cafés that have come up in town there are a few who have clearly preserved the old world charm in their décor, food and service. And amongst these the endangered Parsi restaurants and the quickly disappearing Irani cafes clearly stand out. The first thing we ordered was Irani chai, bun masaka, khari and some biscuits.I personally don't have tea but I cannot miss out on Irani chai it was refreshing and energetic. We also had their famous keema pav which was good not extraordinary. I didn't like their scrambled egg since they put lot of milk in it with their style of recipes. I loved there lots of variations in sandwiches rolls etc. At the last I asked for mawa cake it was absolutely delicious and soft with some dry fruits over it.

Coming to detailed food review

Keema Pav - It was lip-smacking, the keema was cooked properly. It wasn’t spicy at all which i loved the most. The consistency was perfect & the quantity is good for a single person. One of the cheapest keem pav i have ever had.

• Mawa Cake - I loved the cake, it was fluffy, soft & small. Perfect combination with tea.

• Rasberry Soda - it wasn’t in house, it was pallonji’s Rasberry which is quite popular in Maharashtra. It tasted okay.

They have wide range of bakery products and would love to explore it some day.Overall it is very economical to try out their menu but at the same time they have managed to maintained good quality and service along with low price....
