Way back in 2011 when we moved to Pune, Naaz was our go to place in Pune for bakery items. We used to travel from other end of Pune just to stock up the bakery items. The only condition which was a small bit of concern then was CASH ONLY. But since last 2 years we have stopped going altogether, cause we bought multiple things and most of them were either stale or not tasting the same at all worst part even in todays time its CASH ONLY. These episodes happened 3 times... thats when we decided we will skip the joint.... it wasnt worth travelling half way across Pune just to be disappointed. I really wish it...
Read moreSo I was passing by Naaz bakery (Pune camp) 2 days ago and decided to try/buy their RUSK for the very first time. The salesman seemed more like the owner and spoke in a wannabe english accent !! He said each pack was 250 grams and for INR.100. (400 per kg for rusk is pretty expensive !!) I reluctantly bought 1 packet. He didn't give a receipt. Upon reaching home, i weighed the pack and to my shock it was only 200 grams !! So i was cheated and frankly it didn't taste good and definitely not worth the money. Kayani bakery is fair and good and better priced. Never again...
Read moreIt's a great bakery. The best Shrewsbury in the city. Great bread, best cream rolls though they vary from day to day. Some days they are too sweet. The almond macarones are worth dying for. Grear sandwiches. The nankhatais are another level. But one star less for the gruff behaviour. Takes some of the joy away. PS : top secret. It's better than Kayanis. But the latter do far better courtesy their courtesy(pun intended). Definitely where these Naaz people lack. Too much of Naaz...
