This place is popularly known in Pune for its delicious pure vegetarian meals. It is quite old and started as a small meal house in 1924 and still maintaining the exact same menu.

There is a standard menu but it changes everyday, so everyday for afternoon and evening the menu is entirely different. Some signature and popular items do repeat in a week. The current ambiance is quite nice and a good hygiene is maintained meticulously.

One need to take coupon and book a seat, usually there is a wait of around 15 mins. Once you seat on the table all items on menu are served one by one, serving usually starts with Roasted Papad and a small cup of curd. Then it goes to Salad, salad usually has typical mixture of veggies. Then two varieties of cooked curries/veggies are served, dry sabji is also flavoured with authentic maharastrian spices. In gravies also they have atleast two options daily which often include some legumes or mix veg gravies and a lentils curry (variety of dal) which goes with the variety of rice. They have different options for sabjis and rice on different days but the menu does repeat weekly. To accompany your meals they also have few sweet dishes available at an extra cost. On Sundays they serve a special meal at slightly higher price than usual. Usual price per person is 170 INR.
