I recently visited PK Biryani, Swargate with my fiancée and her 7-year-old nephew. We arrived around 3:30 PM, which was during the rush hour, so we had to wait for a table. However, after waiting for 15 minutes, I noticed that customers who arrived after us were being allotted tables before us, simply because we were only a group of three. This was very unfair. Eventually, after I pointed out an available table on the upper floor, they assigned it to us.
Unfortunately, the experience only got worse from there. We sat at our table at 3:55 PM, but no one came to take our order for another 15 minutes. After repeatedly calling the staff 3-4 times, finally, at 4:05 PM, a tall waiter came to take our order. We ordered: Chicken Dum Biryani, Chicken Special Thali, One 7UP, One water bottle
Since we were extremely thirsty, we specifically asked for the water bottle to be served immediately, but they did not bring it right away. Meanwhile, I observed that other customers, who seemed to be known to the staff, were getting much better service. The waiters on the floor were constantly checking on them and prioritizing their needs, while we were completely ignored.
Even after multiple reminders, they brought the water bottle. It became clear that they were favoring larger groups because their bill amounts would be higher, while smaller groups like ours were neglected. This made us feel completely disrespected.
By 4:45 PM, after waiting for almost an hour without receiving our food, we decided to leave. Just as we were walking out, the tall waiter came and said, "Sorry sir, the delay was because Chicken tandoori were out of stock." However, my order did not even include tandoori items! This clearly exposed their dishonesty and poor customer service.
Final Verdict: This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at PK Biryani, Swargate. Their service is highly unprofessional, and they prioritize only big spenders. If you’re in a small group, be prepared to be ignored. I would never recommend this place to anyone who expects fair treatment and...
Read moreI thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality at this restaurant. One of the unique aspects is that no matter what dish you order they always serve Pandhra and Tambda rassa. These traditional gravies are a delightful addition to the meal and are sure to satisfy your taste buds.
While their biryani is commendable, I personally find the starters to be the highlight of the menu. I particularly recommend the Chicken Raan, Tandoor and Pomfret Fry. These dishes are consistently delicious and make for a great start to the meal. For vegetarians ,they do have Veg biryani (Pulao😜) and in starters Panner options are available which are too delicious
The restaurant’s staff deserves special mention for their training and prompt service. They manage to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and service quality even during peak hours. However be prepared for a waiting time if you visit in the evening as the place tends to get quite crowded.
One downside is the lack of dedicated parking space which can be a hassle. Nevertheless, the restaurant is a fantastic place to visit with friends, family, and kids, offering a warm and welcoming atmosphere along with great food.
If you enjoy biryani you may visit the other outlets of PK Biryani, i personally have visited other outlets and they have maintained the same high-quality taste across...
Read moreI AM AGAINST VIP CULTURE
We have always been told my many restaurants that customer satisfaction is our utmost priority. Every customer is equal. Customer is our king, but
PK Biryani, Swargate outlet, Pune 411009 has been seen openly promoting VIP Culture. There if you belongs to political or privileged background than you will be treated way better than normal and middle class people. Today (19 February 2023) I visited PK BIRYANI Swargate outlet with my friends for dinner and there we were asked to dine in upstairs. We were bunch of 7 friends set and ordered food. But we were not given as good service as other or we may say VIPs got. There was unreasonable delay in service and afterwards food was served but the approach was not appropriate but, contrary to us the VIPs were getting extra attention even when not needed. We all are students. We save our money to go to such restaurants but that doesn't mean that we do not deserve to be treated like other customers. We all felt very insulted but we did not create any scene because we did not want to affect other customers but this was not expected by such a reputed restaurant. We were also paying for our portions. Will never recommend this place to any one. If this review reaches to the owner kindly look into the matter.
