Read moreI have fallen in love with the Onion Garlic Naan at Sahana. Now garlic naan is tasty but the onion garlic naan is the icing on the cake. The appetizing aroma when it is placed in front of you is heavenly! During Diwali, Sunitha and I came here for lunch. Sahana, a white tablecloth restaurant, was packed with customers waiting. Luckily Sheetal, the owner, got us a table quickly. We ordered the thali to share and three butter rotis were part of this entrée. Looking through the menu, I saw this naan and ordered it. The thali had six katoris (cups) filled with dal, paneer subji (vegetable), bhindi, two. More vegetables and a sweet of two gulab jamuns. The butter rotis had been curled up and resembled rose buds. Then the naan came wafting it's perfume everywhere. I squealed with delight as I couldn't contain my joy at what this naan brought to our table. The ghee glistened amid the strands of the onions and garlic. One bite and I was captivated. The daal, paneer and bhindis were the best tasting in this thali. Dessert was a sublime Kulfi Rabdri. We promised to return.
Yesterday, I did. I was in Camp and came for lunch. I ordered Butter Daal and Gobi Fry (cauliflower) along with the celebrated naan. A simple meal packed with flavor. The gobi was luscious that I asked for the recipe. I had more than enough to take leftovers home. The Kulfi Rabdri made a fine dessert. Service is attentive. Now all I needed was a...
