Okay, Thanks everyone. I’ll take these as a No.
Thanks Savya Rasa for the delightful Savory and bringing South Indian concept to Pune. I’m actually talking about waiters here (Mr HOM) who swoop in unnoticed and begin to talk over you and your female partner. It’s not all waiters that do this. I have had waiters who just seem to know when it’s not polite to interrupt. It seems the ones who do interrupt, don’t even try to be respectful. We were all taught not to interrupt over two people engaged in conversation. I don’t think being a waiter should entitle you to suspend your civil sense/manners from the hospitality industry view point.
If someone is in the midst of conversation with your loved ones sharing their talks and time having personal conversation in the middle of delivering taking questions to your date “WHICH PLACE YOU ARE YOU FROM? WHERE DO YOU STAY and WHAT DO YOU DO?”, it’s very disconcerting and sort of ruins the dining experience for those paying hefty bills for the service.
That’s fine there the waiter interrupts to ask for you to order. But when you have ordered, there’s no point in interrupting the Female date customer and getting personal.
With more reason when the meal is already served. If the customer needs something, he will ask, if not, leave the customers to eat in peace with their privacy!
Also when you see the customers enjoying a private conversation, if they already ordered, what’s the point of interrupting them to ask about their whereabouts’?
I’ll repeat some extra info here.
If the people go to a restaurant and pay a hefty sum, it’s to enjoy the experience, not to be annoyed. It’s not the norm to be disturbed in other countries, and most people don’t enjoy it, even in India.
People seem unable to understand how interruption works, it’s not a matter how long the interruption is, it’s a matter of killing the mood, the flow of thinking or even the enjoyment of the meal. It’s about interruptions in the workplace, but you can grasp how this can be applied to interruptions trying to enjoy a meal or trying to have a private conversation.
Otherwise Dining Experience is Awesome with Resturant just if the Owner or Manager could take care of such interruptions with these waiters where they don't hinder Peoples privacy and disturb you on date lunch/dinner making their visit miserable.
Lastly, those were the days when Restuaraneurs you use to take pride reviewing their customers saying, " Food was ẞad but Service was GooD, your waiter's don't disturbs at Dinner Date"!...

Read moreSavya Rasa in Koregaon Park, Pune, is truly an exceptional dining experience for anyone who appreciates authentic South Indian cuisine. I recently visited this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of food, the attention to detail, and the overall ambiance. This place deserves all the praise it gets.
From the moment you walk in, the restaurant’s decor transports you to South India. The attention to traditional design elements, from the intricate wooden carvings to the subtle, elegant lighting, creates a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff is equally warm, greeting you with smiles and providing excellent service throughout the meal.
The highlight, of course, is the food. The menu is a celebration of South Indian regional specialties, covering cuisines from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Every dish we tried was packed with authentic flavors and presented beautifully. The use of traditional spices and ingredients is evident in every bite. I highly recommend the Mutton Sukha and the Podi Idli, both of which were bursting with flavor. Their desserts are equally delightful—don’t miss out on the Elaneer Payasam!
Another thing I truly appreciated was the staff’s knowledge about the dishes. They took the time to explain the origins of the food and made great recommendations based on our preferences. The passion they have for their cuisine really shines through.
Savya Rasa is not just a meal; it’s an experience of South Indian culture and culinary heritage. Whether you're familiar with these regional dishes or trying them for the first time, the restaurant does an outstanding job of making you feel immersed in the experience.
The pricing is on the higher side, but for the quality of food, service, and ambiance, it’s well worth it. I highly recommend Savya Rasa for an unforgettable South Indian...
