The Happie Gut — Restaurant in Pune

I was here for a business trip to Pune in August 2019 when I ate a couple of meals here at The Happie Gut. Whatever I ate was superb, wholesome and tasty. Once I had a mini-meal of Paratha and Dal Makhani. It was Gourmet Chef style food with excellent taste. The Dal Makhani could beat the best of Punjabi restaurants of Mumbai. Masala Dosa was also very nice.

I was worried about eating outside food as Monsoon rains had started, but I was pleasantly surprised to find this high quality food in Pune.

During one of my visits, there was a power outage and I saw a gentleman go into the kitchen. I later inquired with the waiter and he told me the gentleman was the owner. I went and met him later and complimented him about the high quality of food taste and he explained that he personally monitored and trained the staff. He said he was a caterer for high profile weddings and parties as well and knew what great taste is and tried to ensure that his staff delivered the same. He even took me for an impromptu surprise visit to their hotel kitchen, which is usually a big no-no in the restaurant industry. But was happy to see the inside kitchen was as neat and clean with properly dressed cooks and neat and clean cooking vessels and the platform.

I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for great taste and good quality food. A bit higher priced but totally worth it. Not the unhygienic cheap quickly...

I don't even wanted to give one star review to this pathetic restaurant, as they don't value customers, I ordered dosa, and the dosa came was having a hair into it, so I showed them they said they don't have more dosa batter so can't make another one, so I asked them about aloo paratha and when the aloo paratha arrived they gave just achar with it so I asked for curd they said it will be charged differently, the aloo paratha already costed 100 bucks and they want me to pay more 30 rupees for the curd which is always provided complimentary with the paratha, but that was not the issue the lady there was so rude as it was there mistake, so please think twice...

This one is the only proper dining hotel in the sakore Nagar area this hotel has plenty of sitting space available inside and outside they do serve almost all famous type of snacks and beverages most of the time it is crowded in the evening but in the afternoon time you will find not too much crowded the food quality is very nice they also have little bit space for parking or all the experience is good Dev also have one Pan Shop outside.
