Wasabi 15 is a recently opened casual dine outlet in Viman Nagar that serves delectable authentic Asian food. The 15 in the name stands for their commitment to serve your order at your table in 15-minutes. Now that’s a promise that’s sure to whet anyone’s appetite.
I recently was invited to sample some of their offerings and overall it was a wonderful experience.
Starters The Non-Veg Spring Rolls had a lovely crunchy coating which complemented the moist stuffing inside while the Chicken Wings had a lovely, sticky glaze that can instantly bring a glaze to your eyes when you bite into it. Absolutely delicious stuff, this. The Cottage Cheese BBQ were cubes of fresh paneer coated in BBQ sauce and cooked on skewers. Pretty good in taste however nothing special to write about.
Sushi The sushi is what basically attracted me to this place and that was what I was eagerly waiting to try.
The Cracking Spinach Sushi as well as the Prawns Tempura Sushi are both on their bestsellers list and rightfully so. Insanely delicious, both of them had distinct textures and flavors and looked pretty on the plate too. The crunch of the coating complemented the stuffing well.
Gimbap is a Korean dish made from cooked rice and other ingredients that are rolled in dried seaweed sheets and served in bite-sized slices. 'Gim' is the seaweed sheet and 'bap' refers to the cooked rice.
The Japanese Sushi and Korean Gimbap differ from each other in terms of the use of rice and the fillings. In a Japanese sushi, the rice is seasoned with vinegar while in a Gimbap, it is mixed with sesame oil and it tastes a bit sweeter. As for the fillings, the Japanese use mostly raw fish, but in Korea, cooked or preserved items like canned tuna, kimchi, grilled bulgogi or ham and cheese are used to stuff the sushi. The rice used in a Gimbap may also vary.
The Veg Gimbap had bell peppers, zucchini and carrots stuffed inside the rice roll and wrapped in seaweed while the Non-Veg Gimbap expectedly had chicken pieces. The seaweed layer immediately provides a visual impact thanks to it’s black shiny texture.
Main Course The Kimchi Seafood Fried Rice had an odd-ish smell to it thanks to a combination of multiple seafood, while not unpleasant but was a tad off-putting to someone like me who isn’t used to it. Flavor-wise, it was on point. The Shanghai Veg Noodles was delicious and colorful, thanks to the bell peppers and spring onion leaves which also lent a nice crunch to the bite.
The Chicken Katsu Ramyun was, in simple terms, a noodle soup with crispy chicken katsu. A well balanced dish in terms of flavors and textures, this dish ticked all the right boxes for me.
The Spicy Chicken Bao had a spice marinated chicken breast piece however the bao could’ve been more moist in my opinion. The accompanied mayo does help however I felt it lacked some inherent moistness in the bun.
Dessert The Apple Cinnamon Spring Roll was a deconstructed version of the apple pie and it was just as delicious. Lovely, moist filling of cooked apples and cinnamon, the spring roll crust represented the pie crust quite well. And the ice cream and blueberry compote provided the creamy and sour-ish elements to the dish.
Extremely light on the pocket and quick on the serve, Wasabi 15 is a must visit...

It was getting really difficult for me to find the food which I would trully love I mean you know goan people tied up to seafood it's really a task to meet please them with food. One fine day while searching for some good meal I run into this place called "Wasbi15" if I'm being honest at first glance the place looks pretty expensive for the appearance but I took the chance.
The place is situated at Anand square opposite Symbiosis International College Sakore Nagar Pune Maharashtra.
On the first day of my visit I had Korean ramyun (chicken) it was a bowl of noodles served with crispy fried chicken with salad. As you can see in the first two pictures the noodles (which I feel is spaghetti I may be wrong cuz it's my first time having Korean food not sure how their noodles are w.r.t texture) was really tasty I requested the chef to make it a bit less spicy for me and the chiken was amazing crispy on the outside and most on the inside even the salad was good by itself.
That very evening I visited the place again and I ordered wonton noodles soup. The broth was tasting good not a burst of flavours but something simple which actually complements all the ingredients in the soup. If your not a fan of too many spices in your soup than this one is perfect. Good amount of vegetables not to mention broccoli one of my favourite. The fettuccine (commonly known as flat noodles in layman's language) is also perfectly cooked.
Lastly, for the kimchi Chiken and Kimchi fried rice. Both dishes were really tasty with the kimchi chiken being soft and tender with a nice colour on both sides. The kimchi fried rice had a medium done egg on top, the rice was nice bit on the softer side maybe it is made in that way I have no idea but it was tasty.
Now for the things I feel could have been better are appearance wise. Cause food is not eaten only by taste right?
Clearly the chef struggled with the egg on my kimchi fried rice as you can see one end is a bit irregular
The sauce topped on the kimchi chicken was a bit irregular as well if you notice it started with a lot and went down to little.
It did not matter to the taste buh maybe I am way too particular about things which is barely noticeable and can be fairly ignored too.
Special thanks to the Restaurant Manager did not get her name though, she thought I did not like the food. I absolutely loved the food 💯 percent ❤️ I was just full and could not finish everything 😅.
Must visit place if you wanna try something new from the price point 👉 of view I feel it's totally worth it. I mean you can't buy an iPhone with the budget of a smartphone right?
The next time I visit pune will definitely give the...
Read moreWasabi a paste made from its ground rhizomes is used as a pungent condiment for sushi and other foods. A pinch of it is quite good enough to blow the steam out of you. Sushi was my first experience. Here is an exclusive list of food dish served at Wasabi 15,
Sushi – Prawns Tempura Sushi was the most loved and best out of the lot of sushi’s. This has the crunchy flavor on the outside and tasted really good with prawns in it. Whereas the cracking spinach was crunchy too and good on the veg side of it. Most of them must have loved the gimbap, for me as it was the first time didn’t enjoy the rolled and wrapped in dried sheets of seaweed.
Starters to talk about we had Non-Veg Spring Roll, Chicken Wings, Cottage Cheese BBQ, Membosa and Ssam. Membosa in other words it’s a shrimp toast where the shrimp paste was quite a delight but as toast was to oily it didn’t go down too well. Ssam a dish served on lettuce with minced chicken flavored with taste kind of BBQ sauce was something different to enjoy wrapped along the lettuce. Chicken Wings and Cottage Cheese BBQ was juicy and awesome. The spring roll was good too not quite oily.
Getting on to the main course, Kimchi Fried Rice (Sea food), Shanghai Noodles Veg, Chicken Katsu Ramyun and Spicy Chicken Bao. Chicken Bao is perfect steamed bun well styled out sandwich with chicken and veggies. It was quite filling and tasted to be a good Chinese sandwich. Shanghai Noodles was well shredded out with pieces of mushroom quite tender and delight to eat. Chicken Katsu Ramyun just like a soupy noodle but this one taste much better when you mix up the pieces of fried chicken cutlets. Quite delicious to have a blend of cutlet and the soupy noodle together. Kimchi Fried Rice was quite blunt, only the sea food tender strips gave some stand out taste that too was minimal and bit high on its cooked flavor.
To end with starters, we had the Apple Cinnamon Spring Roll and Banana Katsu both served with Ice Cream. The Apple Cinnamon Spring Roll was something different to tip of the iceberg with taste of apple and cinnamon. It was a taste that stays on but whereas the Banana Katsu didn’t gel well. At the end sweet tooth always expected to get you to next level but here it didn’t work that well.
Wasabi 15 is located at a hotspot location. Overall the ambience is good, lavishly spaced out that includes a floor that stairs within. A perfect hangout for a family to dine out. Majority of the dishes were well presented and tasted good to have an appetite to...
