I am known to be a humongous spicy food fan. After a lot of food searching, I finally found a place that can bring tears to my eyes (literally).
This Largo location is present within a rather residential area. The surrounding is quiet which allows you to have a peaceful conversation with your loved ones. The restaurant offers seating inside, on the first floor, and outside. However, the inside seating wasn't that great and there wasn't any air conditioning. I'd suggest getting a table outside if possible. They have picnic tables and benches with mist fans present all around.
Largo is a great value for money. They have these mega-sized pizzas, starting from 16 inches and above, at very reasonable prices. All our pizzas were perfectly done with a crispy base. Their style of pizza is perfect for those who enjoy a thin crust. Always one to accept a spice challenge, half of our 20-inch pizza was the Red Alert which is the spiciest vegetarian pizza on their menu. The cashier will rightfully warn you about the spice. This is pizza isn't for everyone. Being a spice aficionado, this managed to tear me up. I highly recommend it to anyone bold enough to try it. Along with this, we also had the Cop, Ocoli, and Classic Rita which were brilliant. The only problem was with the Ocoli. There weren't a lot of olives even though it was one of just 3 toppings on the pizzas. I expect a decent amount of each topping.
To quench the spice, we went for a pitcher of the classic mojito along with a season mango mocktail. We immensely enjoyed the mojito and even ordered another one at the end of our meal.
Largo manages to provide a different take on a favourite cuisine. As someone who isn't from Pune, I aim to visit this place every time I stop...
Read moreIt's an ok place. Not worth visiting again. Went with my family and friends ordered veg premium 1/2+ 1/2 and drinks.
Good things- Size of pizza. You don't often see a 20inch too often. The layout and location. Tucked away in far bylanes of viman Nagar parking was not an issue. They have converted a bunglow in to a pizza joint. Sparsely crowded. At peak Sunday lunch time it was easy to get a seat for 6 people. Self ordering system. Really liked it, its an excellent idea.
Ok things- Taste especially the spicy one were ok. Non spicy pizza were bland and totally tastless. Staff - the staff were cooperative but their body language was aloof, laid back and non commital. Most of the things is self service. Drinks were ok. Except for Virgin pinacoladia which felt like cocunut oil mixed in curd. Dessert - except choco mousse rest all were pretty bland. Price- average price compared to famous brands. Ingredient quality.
Bad things- They don't serve/have ketchup to go with pizza. 2.thickness of pizza - pizza felt more like chapati bhaji with layer of cheese. Pizza tray - the pizza try they served pizza on was a cover for a big biryani bhagona. Didn't expect that. I expected something better on which pizza is served. Poor ventilation- the place needs better ventilation especially on 1st floor right in front of the staircase. Clueless waiters- asked for recommendations and they were clueless abt the types of pizza being served at the restaurant. Cleanliness- don't expect a sparkling clean place. It's very rustic with some pretty average tiles on floor. It's expected if you try to convert a small bunglow into a restaurant.

Read moreOne of my collegue was visiting Pune from another city and he wanted to have good Pizza, so I took him to this place. I am not a regular here, but I have been here before, so I knew that here the Pizza would be good. But as it turned out it was a nightmare this time.
Once we went there, we were asked to place order online by scanning qr code and completing payment, which we did. After that there was total silence, no one came to check on us for more than 30 minutes. So finally I went to check on our order. This is when they mentioned that their internet is down and they do not have a clue about our order. They said they will start doing it now if we showed them order and payment details. As it was going to take a lot longer, we decided to abandon the idea of having pizza there and asked for refund. After a call to their owner/manager they finally gave it which took another 10-15 minutes at least.
The owner/manager was apparently aware that the internet was down, but they did not think it was necessary to instruct the crew to inform the sitting customers and to check if they have placed the orders. Customers on one other table sitting across us faced similar issues.
In a nutshell - in order to save money, the owner has downsized and made it all digital, but forgot to remember that without good service it amounts to nothing. I am a big supporter of digitization, but not at the cost of service. If you serve a delicious pizza 1 hour after I place the order, that too when you have customers on just 1-2 tables, then you need to learn the basics of...
