Our recent visit to Annapoorna hotel's party hall for a family function was, by and large, a very positive experience, primarily due to the exceptional food and attentive service. We had both breakfast and lunch there, and true to Annapoorna's esteemed reputation, the South Indian vegetarian cuisine was outstanding. The breakfast spread offered a delightful array of traditional items, with crispy dosas, fluffy idlis, and their signature aromatic filter coffee being particular highlights, providing a perfect start to the day. Lunch was an equally impressive affair, featuring an elaborate and diverse thali. Every dish, from the sambar to the various curries and a delicious dessert, tasted incredibly fresh and authentically prepared, showcasing the high standards of their kitchen.
The service throughout the event was commendable. The staff members were polite, highly efficient, and remarkably attentive, ensuring that all guests' needs were promptly met, from refilling dishes to clearing tables swiftly. The party hall itself was well-maintained, clean, and provided a comfortable and pleasant ambiance suitable for the function. However, a critical area that requires immediate attention is the parking facility. The space currently available proved to be significantly inadequate, causing considerable inconvenience for guests. In today's context, where a majority of attendees prefer to drive their four-wheelers and two-wheelers, an expanded and well-managed parking area is an absolute necessity to avoid congestion and frustration. Extending this facility would greatly enhance the overall guest experience.
Despite the parking challenge, the superb quality of food and the excellent, professional service made our event memorable. Annapoorna remains a highly recommended choice for hosting functions, provided the crucial parking issue is addressed to match the otherwise high standards of their culinary offerings and...

I am so glad that I took this recommendation and went for dinner, even though it is the most popular and business during the morning breakfast rush. The service was amazing, fast, and with quite a menu. I was surprised to see such well-maintained and colorful menus, even though it was an in-demand and older place. They even have a sweets and hot counter outside, if you want to grab something on your way out.
What we ordered: Sambar Idli - the sambar was exquisite, and the Idli was porous and soft, and absorbed the flavors of the sambar Onion Rava - came out of the kitchen quite faster than expected. It was well roasted, with a good amount of onions. The best part was it wasn't oily and was evenly cooked with a crunchy outside and softer inside. However, it folded over 4 times! so it's altogether a huge serving! Masala Dosa - well done and the potato curry in the middle is really good. Pongal - the sambar was the perfect match for it. The peppercorn was the right amount and soft, so it wasn't too overpowering, and I enjoyed that they didn't drown it in ghee. Puri- the puri itself was nice and fluffy but for me personally, I'm not a fan of masala curry and more of an authentic potato curry lover. So I would most likely not order this again Filter Coffee - was one the best I've had in a long time! And was true filter coffee, not instant coffee just served in a filter coffee utensil set. Served hot and with the right amount of sweetness, I assure you, even though it was dinner time, we all had a cup and it was the most satisfying ever!
They were extremely well maintained, the service was speedy and the turnover and cleaning of tables were emasculate, honestly, we were impressed! We loved this place so much, we went back again for breakfast...
Read moreThis review is for the Party/Banquet Hall attached to the Central Kitchen. We hosted a wedding reception at this venue because of the good quality of food delivered by the central kitchen. You are asked to select from a few different menu options (different prices ofcourse) and are promised that the food is made right next door and guests will be served well. However the service during the event was extremely disappointing. Our guests had to keep asking what was available while the serving staff stood around without any interest with the proceedings. At one point a group of senior guests (mostly in their 60s, 70s & 80s) were denied service and asked to move to different tables. Such humiliating treatment is the worst way to run an event hall. When a customer pays the requested price the hall manager needs to make sure the service is as promised. I was the groom's brother and was among the last to have food. I noticed the poor service and assumed it was late and the serving team was tired. But then we heard from our guests that the service was poor all evening. If you plan to host an event here, please have someone from your side monitor proceedings at the dining hall. Else you WILL hear back from your guests about the poor service. Make sure you get feedback from your guests before paying your balance after the event is done so you can effectively convey your regrets to...
