‘Unprofessional & Rude management’ I had a shocking and deeply disappointing experience at Brasa in Radisson Blu Chennai on the night of August 10th, 2024. My friends (a small group of 5 girls) and I arrived at the venue around 11 PM, looking forward to a fun night out. Instead, we were met with blatant racism and unprofessional behavior, particularly from the manager, Mr. Biswas.

Upon arrival, the bouncer asked for our IDs, which is standard procedure. One of my friends showed her scanned Aadhar ID on her phone, and the bouncer accepted it, even tying a yellow entry band on her wrist. But then, out of nowhere, Mr. Biswas, the manager, intervened and informed us that we were denied entry. When we asked why, he claimed they only accept physical IDs. To comply, I showed him my physical driving license, but instead of accepting it, he rudely dismissed us without even bothering to look at it.

When I questioned him about this sudden change in rules, he arrogantly replied, "I don't have to answer to you." Excuse me? You're the manager, and you absolutely are answerable to your customers! What kind of customer service is this? To add insult to injury, one of my friends had already been accepted with a digital ID, but suddenly, within minutes, the rules changed for no apparent reason.

We had even booked a table and paid the cover charge. When we asked for a refund after being unjustly denied entry, Mr. Biswas ignored us and started greeting other guests. We observed for a while and saw that other guests, who happened to be fair-skinned, were allowed entry with just their digital IDs, without any fuss. Meanwhile, we were shunned for no legitimate reason, despite being in Chennai, where most of us are brown-skinned.

This kind of discriminatory treatment is completely unacceptable, especially in a city like Chennai. Radisson Blu is supposed to be an internationally renowned star hotel, but the bias displayed by Mr. Biswas was nothing short of disgraceful. He refused to take responsibility for his actions or those of his team and is clearly unfit for any management role.

Because of one person, our entire night was ruined. If you want to experience racism in your own city, then by all means, visit Brasa. Brasa, if you want to maintain any resemblance of a good reputation, you need to seriously reconsider your staff training and management policies. As for Mr. Biswas, his behavior was completely unprofessional and left a bitter taste in what should have been an enjoyable night out. I strongly advise against visiting Brasa if this is the kind of treatment you can expect.

Avoid this place if you value your time, money, and...

I come to this hotel quite often due to the weekly Latin Night on the other floor but someday, a friend of mine dragged me into this beautiful, cheek wine world when my sister was around. As this city doesn’t offer a great range of options for delicious cocktails along with cheek cozy atmosphere but after I came here, I became a fan of this place.

Friendly stuffs, wide range of delicious cocktails and mouth watering foods. The melting chocolate (Desert) is a must try here. I am a vegetarian and I was happy with my garlic mushroom with sautéed vegetables but my friend and sister had couple of different non vegetarian dishes and I have no idea what they were.

Highly recommended for cocktails lover in a cozy place with cheek interior. I love it.

Thank you guys. You have done a great...

I had a great time at Brasa. It's very quiet before 10pm most of the time but kicks into total club mode right after. On the weekends it's open all the way until 4am which is great if you feel restricted by the usual closing hours in this city. Their food was spectacular and I would totally recommend their beef steak, thyme chicken and deserts, squisito! Unfortunately their beer selection is limited but the bar is fully stocked with eclectic spirits. Big ups to their staff Jeevan, Dhan and Hemachandru for their wonderful hospitality and professionalism. The place attracts a decent kind of crowd that's chilled out, with a DJ that belts out tunes that fits the vibe. A pocket of awesomeness right in the middle of the city. See...
