As in the name Down Under, it is located in the basement of a Dugar Towers at Marshalls Road under the Bank of Baroda Building. The map location is correct, but it is difficult to find the building, as there is no name board outside. There are two entrances, one in the main road itself and another in the Montieth lane. We went for Bowling on a weekend, where we had to wait for almost 1.5 hours for our turn. Even though, they informed us it will take time for your turn, they could have a better booking process. We can book only by going there and not online, and then we should wait for our turn. The cost per person is âš300 on weekends and âš250 during weekdays. And they will provide shoes which will include the 300 itself. And if you don't have your own socks, you have to pay âš20 for a new pair of less quality socks which can be used only less amount of times. And more importantly, there were two people at the reception, in that, one who was wearing specs was looking and speaking a bit rude and did not have a smiling face to the customers. Politeness is much expected here. And the one in the bowling lanes was very helpful and kind. He also provided a less weight ball for kids if we ask. And, other than bowling, there are VR games, billiards/snooker, net cricket, foos ball, ping pong. And also, Superstar Pizza is located there in the basement, but did...

We called ahead and were told a lane was available; we said weâd arrive in five minutes. When we got there at ~9:30 PM, that lane was taken. While waiting, we asked the counter staff to assign us a pool table (people were already playing in the pool room). The attendant flatly refused: âclosed at 10 PM,â he said â even though there were still players on tables and another staff member later told us the room closes at 10:30 PM (players continued until 10:50 PM). Why deny paying customers 30 minutes of play with contradictory excuses?
From the moment we arrived the attendant was rude and dismissive â treating us like supplicants rather than customers. He refused to accept payment in advance, yet handed out a lane to another group who arrived after us. He also enforced a baffling rule about the size-7 ball while watching others use it without issue. The whole interaction felt inconsistent and unfair; I couldnât shake the impression we were being singled out. That felt discriminatory and very upsetting.
This ruined what was supposed to be a farewell evening. Management: train your staff, stop the arbitrary, hostile behaviour, and stop letting front-desk attitude dictate who gets service. Until this is fixed, I wonât be returning â and I canât recommend Du Bowl to anyone who expects basic courtesy and...
Read moreI recently visited Down under bowling alley and my experience was marred by the exceptionally rude behavior of the front desk staff. From the moment we arrived, the person at the front desk seemed irritated and unwelcoming. When we asked about availability, he asked us to wait in a unpleasant way. His dismissive responses that made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued customers.
When we asked if socks were a must the staff guy rolled his eyes and sighed loudly, as if our questions were a bother. This attitude continued throughout our interaction, making what should have been a fun and relaxing outing feel uncomfortable and tense.
Customer service is a crucial aspect of any business, and the front desk is often the first point of contact for guests. Unfortunately, the negative attitude we encountered set a poor tone for our entire visit. I hope that Down under bowling takes steps to improve their customer service, starting with providing proper training for their front desk staff.
Overall, while the bowling facilities themselves were decent, the rude and unprofessional behavior at the front desk significantly detracted from our experience. I hope future visits will be more pleasant, but this experience has certainly made us...
