⚠️ WARNING: UNHYGIENIC CONDITIONS! I had high expectations from Radisson Blu Chennai, but my stay was disappointing to say the least. The electricity went off multiple times, and the water was completely rusted.. Dark brown in color, both in the sink and shower. The shower drain was clogged, making things worse.
As someone traveling from Kuwait, I specifically chose Radisson Blu expecting international standards of hospitality and hygiene. Instead, I was met with issues that shouldn’t exist in any hotel, let alone one of this reputation. It’s disappointing to experience such negligence, especially after traveling so far.
When I reported the issue and showed them a picture, they sent someone to "fix" it, but the problem wasn’t fully resolved (most likely a building-wide plumbing issue). What shocked me most was that they actually asked me to DELETE THE PICTURE of the rusted water instead of taking real responsibility!! the rusted water returned later the same day, and the issue continued throughout my stay.
Housekeeping was another disappointment. On days we weren’t in the room, they wouldn’t change the bedsheets.. just dusted them off and remade the bed with the same ones. There were also lipstick marks on the wooden part of the bed, which was never gone even after 10 days of stay
While the staff made efforts when I complained, their solutions felt very superficial (like covering rust stains instead of solving the plumbing issue). It’s concerning that such a well known hotel allows serious health and safety issues like contaminated water and unclean bedding to go unresolved.
After such a disappointing experience, I expect the hotel to take meaningful steps to make this right. A generic apology won’t do... If I don’t receive a proper response addressing this, I will have no choice but to escalate the...

Though this hotel might not be a typical edition of the stylish BLU brand of the Radisson chain, it is luxurious enough for a fine stay in the coastal city.
LOCATION: Great location in the heart of Egmore neighborhood and stone’s throw away from popular places like Fountain Plaza, Cisons complex, etc
DINE + DRINK: Multiple F & B options on site, but didn't get a chance to try any of them. So cannot comment
ROOM: We stayed in Room 504, which is a SUITE room, so this review is based on that; SIZE: Spacious enough and comes with a separate Living room, big refrigerator, and a nice big bedroom; VIEW: Partial views of the beautiful MUSEUM building and the opposite wing of the hotel; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part of putting us to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand-in shower; TOILETRIES: good toiletries by Radisson brand
FACILITIES: Excellent Gym with a huge range of weights, machines, and workstations good for a full-on workout! They also have a nice outdoor swimming pool.

I’m currently staying at the Radisson Blu Chennai City Centre, and I can confidently say this is one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
It’s 2:30 in the morning. I’m on a business trip, and instead of resting, I’m sitting here unable to sleep due to extremely loud music, bass, and screaming from the club inside the hotel. I’ve called reception multiple times – each time they promised to “take care of it” and never followed up. Eventually, I had to get dressed and go down to the front desk myself. Only then did they reluctantly move me to another room - where you still hear this noise very loud but less then in the previous room. And by then, the damage was done. Last night was already sleepless. Tonight is another. And all I get is empty words.
What’s worse: I checked the reviews – this has been happening for months and years. WEEKLY 1-star reviews say the exact same thing. And yet, nothing has changed. That shows this is not a mistake – this is systematic negligence.
Radisson markets this as a 5-star hotel. But this is not a hotel – it’s a party venue that sells rooms upstairs. Zero accountability. Zero care for guests.
I booked 3 rooms for this stay. I will be checking out tomorrow. I will also be requesting a full refund for both sleepless nights, cancellation of the remaining nights at no cost, and compensation for this appalling experience.
