Palmshore Restaurant Egmore — Restaurant in Zone 5 Royapuram

Time and time again palmshore is one chain of restaurants i look up for when its time to dine with family... And so when recently after shopping in Egmore we had to look a place for lunch this place came to my mind.. Located next to the Flyover right opposite to the museum.. The place has a decent parking space for bikes and Valet for cars..

A medium sized dining space divided into 2 floors with ground floor able to accommodate around 50 and similar is first floor with couple of majlis seating.. An ambiance that is similar to their chain now or to best put like any other multi cuisine restaurant.. Comfortable seating and perfect cooling..

Service was quick and prompt.. From taking orders to serving the food to taking feedback i couldn't find any drawbacks but just that they took time to start with..

Given below is my take on the items we tried..

Welcome Drink : Their famous arabian grape drink.. Just try it and you will love it.. With pieces of grapes in a chilled yummy drink..

Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice /Noodles (rs220/245) : Tried both the varieties and both had generous amount of meat and veggies.. Taste was perfect for a schezwan sauce based food but lacked the spice expected from it..

Butter Chicken Masala (rs310) : Perfect to say the least with shredded pieces of chicken in a slightly sweet and buttery gravy.. For the price seemed a bit less in quantity though..

Butter Naan (rs45) : Just a regular butter naan IMO.. Was loaded with butter though..

Chicken Mandi (rs295) : Differently but authentically plated in a steel plate.. The mandi tasted really good with taste pretty close to ghee rice but with slight sweet tint and lots of fried onions.. Topped with well cooked meat.. Served along with spicy sauce, Dates Pickle and onions.. Must try..

Bbq Chicken Kapsa(rs280) : Sweet and spicy flavorful rice claimed as the arabian biryani it was just too good.. The Bbq chicken topped on the rice was well cooked and really good in taste.. Must try too..

Suleimani Chai (rs50) : A decent one to say the least.. One of the chai was not as hot as it was expected to be.. Slightly hot than luke warm at max..

Total bill of 1950rs for 6 ppl... I would say it was average considering the ambiance and service along with the food.. Just that a couple of corrections and it could just be perfect... Palmshore definitely is one of the underrated restaurants in chennai.. Must try and totally...

I am totally devasted by the service from Palmshore Egmore when I dined yesterday afternoon. The service from the staffs were pathetic. Their casual attitude and approach was disliked by everyone who dined out yesterday. To start with, they made us wait for 1 hour to get a table for 14 members. Though the table was ready they took us for a ride purposely, reason unknown to me. We ordered as much as we can but they interrupted and said all these would take time to serve. This showed they were least interested in catering us and I had no option to walk away since it was late by then. I had to stay calm for the sake of elderly parents and kids who came out to dine with me. They convinced us to order some salad so that we can munch while the food is getting ready. Apparently the salad came at the end. That was cheating. Whatever food was served they ensured it could be as bad as it can. Biriyani was chill and when indicated they said will heat it and give. Heating the food took another 20-25 minutes for them but after that also it came with the same temperature. Grill was pathetic, platter was even more pathetic. Fried rice served with lot of salt purposely. Someone else bill was purposely given to us and argued to pay when being indicated. Glasses were not kept in our tables and had to repeatedly complain to the floor manager. They have took us to the heights of anger, which made me to write such a bad review. May be you should pay your guys enough so they don't vent out their anger on customers like us. It was a bad choice that we made yesterday to dine out at your restaurant. Palm shore is out of our list now and this would be our suggestion to our friends, families and neighbours. Wake up Palmshore! Else you will join the failure club. Hope you are aware of the arrogant tycoons in this industry who vanished without noise.

Guys I was quiet disappointed..

1. waited for a waiter to be attended for more than 10 mins 2)Post order I had to wait a long time.The lobster in the menu usually takes 20 mins but had to wait more than 30-40 mins. 3)Don't buy lobster, they served me a empty shell that was stinking as bad (Dead rotten lobster probably)(They said it was for presentation) .they have deep fried lobster meat on peper and sweet sause.FYI:( I felt like eating chilli pepper chicken). I know how lobster tastes and smells like.(Recommend them to have a fish tank for lobsters. Just boil the lobster with wine not deep fry with some flavours.( Couldn't taste the lobster there) 4)The waiters don't wear a glove or mask. They handle Spoons and knives with bare hands.( They don't bring knives and spoons with tissue papers atleast) 5)i didn't find a glass for water even after i recieved my food which was late by 40 mins.

4. Restaurant lacks adequate service ,waiters needs training. 9)They always forget to serve glass, spoons and knives .( Just ask them before you order)
5. overall I ordered chicken briyani, lobster(900),orange juice.. total(1400) rs. It's not about the cost but quality i was disappointed. Only briyani was average I would rate 2.7/5 for the hype .

RECOMMENDATION:

Please provide training to the waiters(important) Keep the place clean and free from flies Keep fish tanks for lobsters, fish ( freshwater sea food is still welcomed) Never deep fry exotic food. Lobster should be baked or boiled and not fried for God's sake. 5) Attend fast,...
