🌟 0/5 – SHUT THIS FILTH PIT DOWN IMMEDIATELY! 📍 Chai Kings – Anna Nagar (Near Thirumangalam Metro) ⚠️ DISGUSTING. UNSAFE. A HEALTH HAZARD IN THE NAME OF TEA.(please read this fully and avoid this outlet at whole cost 🙏) I have never been this repulsed by a food outlet in my entire life. Chai Kings, your Anna Nagar branch is nothing short of a public toilet disguised as a tea shop. What I witnessed here was shocking, unhygienic, and downright revolting.

Around 9 PM, I visited this outlet with a friend. While he was sipping his tea, I happened to glance near the staircase — and I was horrified. 💩 Tea flasks — YES, the same ones used for your orders — were being placed right next to a garbage bin, directly on the filthy floor. Another staff member was smoking a cigarette inside the premises as if this was a shady street corner and not a place serving beverages and this employee was stamping on the flask covers with his shoes — literally walking over them like they were trash. 🤢 That’s the tea people are unknowingly drinking. That’s what’s being packed and delivered to your homes.

I have photos and videos — and they’re horrifying enough to make you puke. This is not just bad hygiene, this is biohazard-level negligence.

And here comes the cherry on top – when I questioned the manager about this disgusting scene, thinking he’d apologize or fix it… 💥 He turned aggressive, rude, and started threatening me. He yelled at me, asked “Who the hell are you? Metro employee? Where is your bill? Why are you asking questions?” and then had the audacity to call someone on the phone and asked them to capture my photo from the CCTV. Is this how you handle a concerned citizen pointing out the truth? With intimidation and ego?

This place should not be operating. It’s a disgrace to Chai Kings and a danger to public health. If this is how they handle food in plain view, imagine what happens in the kitchen!

❌ I BEG YOU – DO NOT ORDER OR STEP INTO THIS OUTLET. You are literally drinking from containers that have been on the floor next to trash and stamped with shoe soles.

I’m taking this up with FSSAI, Health Department, and putting this out on every possible social media platform. Let the world see what’s really brewing at Chai Kings Anna Nagar — not tea, but pure filth.

Chai Kings usually has a very good collections of “Teas” irrespective of the branch. This Thirumangalam metro branch is no different – You get all the variants, the regular tea, ginger, masala, herbals, Sulaimani and so on. Each of those has its own distinct taste. This is located right on the main road, opposite to the metro location hence very strategically placed. It has a couple of sitting areas along with the front store, a closed air-conditioned room next to POS and an open to air 1st floor that helps you get a very good view of surroundings. Around this place are mostly residential buildings and you have decent parking space for 2-wheelers. Even 4-wheelers can be accommodated but not really sure how it would look like of there is a crowd though. Along with tea items, snack items are tasty as well albeit a little on the higher end of pricing. There are a host of noodle/ maggi stuff with cheese, chilli, etc variants. And then, we have a frankie serving stall right opposite to this in the same space. A group of people can have a good time on a pleasant...

The first store was launched in Kilpauk, Chennai, in October 2016. Subsequently two other outlets opened within a fortnight’s time. At times, your simplest needs happen to be sadly out of your reach. You’ve always wanted to have a refreshing cup of chai on the go, or while at work, or get it delivered when you need it most. But invariably, you end up making. compromises. You resort to a not-so-hygienic tea shop on the road, or spend your valuable time painfully dipping those tea bags into your cup.
