Read full review. Don't believe the hype created for this shop. Very high priced shop for tiffin but tastes good. Cleanliness is a question mark. Fried rice cost is lower than dosa cost. In fried rice, rice is not properly cooked. Sambar and chutney all are kept on road side and there comes the problem of cough, and other problems. There is a chance of other foods spelling into the sambar and chutney. The area where the fried rice is prepared is very much crowded and there are lot of persons talking in front of the cooking pan and lot of nasty things going on. Just visit and see. You will know the reality. Tiffin tastes good but cost high. Fried rice not that much good and cost is low. As per my personal opinion, please don't prefer this shop. Eating is a pleasure. We should not eat like standing in queue for long time and sweating and all over energy lost and we lose our patience. For the same price next to this we have Adyar ananda bhavan where you can sit and peacefully have the food for the same price. Or else you can also use Sathya foods near the metro A3 entrance where you will have the food standing but not that much queue. Taste is ok but same cost like Karthik tiffin centre. Do your own research before having food. But finally, I'm telling again eating is a pleasure so don't prefer Karthik...
Read moreAbsolutely over rated from YouTube reviews. Their order system is totally chaotic. I saw people arguing with the waiters to get their orders which the men in the restaurant just forgot to deliver. They had sambar, Kuruma and Chutney separately outside in a table. Sambar was good, Kuruma was decent and coconut chutney was the only one edible and unspoilt chutney. The two other chutneys were spoiled and they were refilling over and over again in that same vessel without checking if the remains in that vessel were good or spoilt 🤮 Can try once for the buzzing experience, dosas were definitely fresh. The paneer filling in their dosa tasted just like run-of-the-mill gravy with paneer tossed in it. Podi dosa and ghee podi dosa are their saving grace. Have it with Sambar and that will complete your experience. No comments about other dishes. There is no place to park two wheelers, let alone cars. Was praying to hopefully not get food poisoning because of the spoilt chutneys i had tasted. Prices were pretty high, does not justify enough for the quality of a roadside kaiyendhi...
