Dindigul Thalappakatti Restaurant — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

We went for lunch on Ramadan with lot of expectations but we were terribly disappointed. Since Thalapakatti is quite famous with chain of restaurants in Chennai and with the kind of advertisements we had a good expectation. But the experience was not good.

Service: Since it was a holiday it was very crowded and they clearly did not know how to manage. For the entire restaurant there was only one person taking the order and 2 people supplying the order. I don't blame the waiters, they were doing whatever they can but it was clear that they had shortage of staff. As result there were people waiting for hours for their orders and people were waiting outside for tables. We waited for 45 mins for the order to be taken and next 1 hr for the food. Pathetic service

Food: After 2 hrs of waiting finally our order arrived. We had ordered

Madurai nenju curry chops gravy, Tandoori roti and mutton biriyani

Nenju chops was blunt in taste with hardly any pieces. Quantity was too less. It was not even sufficient for 3 rotis. Tandoori roti was too cold and hard. I guess they had prepared in advance and 60 rs for this roti seemed costly to me Mutton biriyani hardly had any pieces to it, no masala and the side gravy was also not good.

Overall I would say its too pricey for the kind of food they serve here. Its just famous named restaurant with no taste, quality...

Ordered naidu mutton briyani bucket for 2-3 person max for price 1010 from swiggy. In mutton briyani i am not able to find mutton pieces its full of bones. Bread halwa which they gave is for one person alone not for 2 - 3 person. In the swiggy and zomato app u mentioned as juicy,succulent mutton pieces where it is there in the briyani? Why giving fake information on app? Its not naidu mutton briyani its nalli/bone briyani. Even the bone is not surrounded by flesh its look like already used bones are reused in briyani.For plain briyani you are charging less amount but why sending plain briyani to the customer for the price of mutton briyani. how you want bread halwa given in small cup to be shared for 2- 3 persons? Quality,quantity are worst in recent days..
