Giving 1 🌟 due to the pathetic service..

Visited on 29.10.23 for lunch..

Let me be clear first.. Food was excellent.. But, the service was worst.. Let me explain below..

Had to wait for almost 10 minutes for a waiter to come and take order from us.. When he came, he was doing only sign language as if he was dumb.. When I asked him how many pieces will be there in mutton kola, he was signalling with his hands that 5 pieces will be there.. His attitude was like we were there for free food.. Then, I raised my voice and asked him "can you not answer by your mouth?" and then he opened his mouth and started answering properly.. I placed order for two briyanis and two sides (prawn 65 and mutton kola).. Due to experience in most of the hotels that they serve sides only after we almost finish the main dish (briyani or meals), I categorically told the waiter that all the items should be served together.. And, he told the same to the supplier in front of me..

Now, comes the main story.. We were waiting for almost 15 minutes and the orders of the nearby tables were served as usual starting with briyanis and later on, sides were served to them, as I expected.. I waited patiently as I was expecting them to be served together.. Then, out came the server.. He brought just the two briyanis.. Before he started placing them on the table, I stopped him and asked him why he did not bring the sides together as I had requested.. He said that they are ready and will bring them immediately.. So, I started having the briyani.. Now, this server, who said the sides were ready, started supplying to other tables.. I was waiting for him to look at me and he wasn't looking at me at all.. Then, finally, when he looked at me, I had almost finished half of the briyani and shouted at him.. He said he will bring it and went inside the kitchen.. Another 5 mins went past and I had almost completed my briyani and still, there was no signs of him.. Then, I called the waiter who took the order and blasted him.. Then, that guy went and brought the server along with the dishes..

Now, I thought of teaching a lesson to these idiots.. After they brought the items, I shouted at them for bringing the sides after I completed my briyani and I told them that I don't want those items and they need to be cancelled.. They started begging me that it was their mistake and apologize for the same but didn't want me to cancel the order.. But, I didn't budge and made them to cancel them..

So, a Sunday outing was dampened by their service...

PS: I feel bad now for shouting at them in front of everyone.. But, when we give a specific instruction, it has to be followed.. I believe, atleast for few days, they will try to be more attentive to other customers..

To Hotel Pandia's Management : Either you give very low salary or make them do Hard work beyond their capabilities, that they do not seem like having interest in serving people... If this kind of service continues, you will soon go down even if your food taste remains the extraordinary.. I do not want you to close down.. Pls correct yourself and your team before it...

Came in after a movie at PVR at about 10pm on a weekday since it was just the next building from the mall. The restaurant was relatively empty.

We were four of which two were vegetarians. Us vegetarians were a bit skeptical but there were enough vegetarian options. We ordered attukal soup, French onion soup, tandoori half, mushroom tikka, chicken biriyani, Gobi manchurian and 5 chapatis.

The French onion soup was the best from the vegetarian side. Didn’t get any super happy vibes from the non-veg folks and the general comment was that all felt a bit bland- a similar vibe was felt with the mushroom tikka as well. The food did miss a punch. However, all four of us, towards the end of the meal did feel our throats coughed up, indicating some possible issue with the oil or so. I had the onus to eat the bread halwa that came with the biriyani and it felt very oily/dalda-iy, definitely not ghee-ey 😅

The spread costed us ₹1538 and luckily no bad day after.

The service was mixed- there was a pleasant waiter and then there was an annoying waiter as well who was in a hurry to get the bill, in a hurry to make the payment when a couple of us were clearly still eating! And no, we weren’t close to the closing time- a good 40 minutes before the said 11.30pm.

For us, not a place we’d return. Everything was just barely ok, and not...

Worst quality. Decomposed fish. Not bothered- attitude. Charged for the health alarming dish .

I went to have lunch in pandias in arcot road, adjacent to forum Mall. The fish finger delivered was tasted to be a decomposed flesh. I complained to the order taker but he didn't bother to change or give a better one or even seem to have this issue to be a new one to him. Also, they charged me for the decomposed fish finger which created the suspection for this to be a regular event there and i started to doubt the other dishes too . So, do be careful to check your order, smell ur dishes , inspect one piece to ensure the freshness of the non - veg before all your family members consume it. The worrying fact is that , the hotel staff weren't even sorry for the issue and it's ultimately an alarm for our...

When it comes to authentic South Indian dishes no one can beat Pandia's. We ordered Kari dosai and chicken pagoda. Kari dosai was one of the best I tasted in recent times. The portion size was good. The proportion of meat was also great. When I ordered chicken pagoda I expected a chicken 65 look alike. But they surprised me with their authentic looking chicken pagoda. The meat ratio in pagoda was also pretty decent. Overall, a happy tummy experience.
