Pros - Tasty Food Well decorated Igloo with Ballons and Flowers with the Happy Anniversary LED lighting.
Cons - JP staff known for their inhospitable behaviour. AC not very effective as its get quickly hot whenever the igloo door is opened briefly for food service. Portions are less Not worth the price of 5999+tax for Anniversary or Birthday events. There are far better options in Chennai for this price! Response from the owner 9 hours ago Dear Guest,
We have crosschecked our records and with the team as well please share your name and contact details and we’ll look into this.
JP staff known for their inhospitable behavior – Kindly share the incident what happened so we can see and rectify the issue. AC not very effective as its get quickly hot whenever the igloo door is opened briefly for food service (as igloos are private igloo ( fully covered with Glass ) – for serving the customer we have to open the door and close to give that service and needs to the Customer. Portions are less – the menu is planned portion wise and we explain our guest before taking the order how many pieces wil come in each item sir, if any need we can always ask our chef and get back the needs to you. Not worth the price of 5999 for Anniversary or Birthday events.- in igloos we take bookings explaining what the package consists of and we do send all our menu and only take bookings as a proof we have all the records whoever is booking an igloo all the packages are being explained
It’s upsetting to see someone rate a one star without even dining with us. We will be awaiting a response and clarification along with your identity.
Regards, Igloos Team
Responding to the above reply from Igloo Team!
I don't want to name and shame the staff here but we dined on 18th Apr 2023 and the issue was we ordered 3 quantities of Mutton Biriyani and after 30 minutes, the staff brought us only 2 quantities stating they had only 2! I asked why this wasn't informed earlier, for which the staff responded with a blank face and a sarcastic smile without any concern! Then after I warned the staff that I will write a review, the staff quickly went in and returned stating we can give you another Mutton Biriyani if I wait for another 20 minutes!
I understand the reason for lack of effectiveness of the AC but I thought, a hotel claiming 3 star status should have designed the igloo taking into consideration of this to avoid inconvenience to the customers inside.
We weren't explained about the portions at the time of ordering. For example, we were a group of 9 and when we ordered a particular chicken dish it just had 4 pieces which wasn't told at the time of ordering. Also, the Non Veg platter though pricey didn't do justice to its contents.
I stated its not worth 5999+TAX for Anniversary or Birthday events coz, for this price you guys give a couple of starters, couple of main course and couple of mock tails which as per menu is worth around 2000 - 2500. I certainly do not think the LED board and few balloons and a music speaker is worth 3500 bucks! I agree you guys explain the above at the time of booking but what I am saying is its just not worth it. You won't have any returning customers coz for 5999+tax, there are umpteen places in Chennai which gives a far better experience and value for money.
And lastly, do you guys think I do not have any other job to write this review without dining with you guys as you have mentioned? Accept the feedback gracefully and take corrective actions else you guys will soon get lost in the...

Read moreWent there last week with a friend. Had booked the 4-6 pm slot by paying Rs 1000 to one Mr Eric. We reached the restaurant at around 4:10 pm. We even got a friendly reminder before our slot and till this point we had a positive experience. The nightmare started after we reached the restaurant. The waiter was a rude guy. His behavior towards us was like saying "Nee ellam eppadi da Inge vandhu saapidure? Engeyaavudhu thiruditeeya" - "How can guys like you afford to eat here? Did you steal somewhere?". We were pissed off with his attitude and called him out for it asking him to behave properly with customers. The folks at an igloo near us (Mr. Rajan and Anita) also supported us saying the waiter was rude. Following this, the waiter and the staff made us wait 75 minutes to bring out our first order. The time was 5:40 pm. We started eating and before we could even finish half our food, the waiter (I think his name was Sumit) told us that we were well past our slot and that we had to leave. We told him he brought our food only at 5:40 and that we are not leaving until we finish our food. The staff at the restaurant started behaving rudely and proceeded with taking out our plates even though we had food on it. We refused to pay. The manager (Eric) said it is our duty to finish the food within the slot as other customers were waiting. We said our order came at 5:40 pm only. He said no one else is complaining about late arrival of food and that we are lying. We asked him to call the folks sitting next to us or anyone who had been there from 4 to 6 pm and vouch for him. He said that is not his job and that we have to pay. We said we will call the police. The manager said he can call them for us and that the inspector at Koyambedu police station is a friend of his and a regular visitor there. At that point we realised it is a lost cause trying to fight with this guy and left quietly after paying. We were given a parcel with all the leftovers (most of it) packed. This review hopefully will serve as a warning to all folks who plan...
