Subject: Complaint Against Spoiled Food and Unhygienic Conditions at Junior Kuppanna Restaurant
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing this letter in my capacity as a responsible citizen and a Human Resource professional who understands the importance of public safety and hygiene, especially in the food industry.
On Friday afternoon at around 3:30 PM, after watching a movie at the mall, I visited Junior Kuppanna Restaurant located inside the mall for lunch. I was extremely disappointed with the experience and feel compelled to bring the matter to your urgent attention.
Upon entering the restaurant, there was a strong and unpleasant gas-like smell, indicating poor ventilation and hygiene. I was informed that only biriyani and parotta were available â both of which appeared to be old, frozen, and reheated food, not freshly prepared.
I ordered 2 sets of parotta with mutton chukka, but the dish served was highly unsatisfactory:
The mutton was stale, consisting mostly of 6 small bone pieces with almost no meat.
The salna (gravy) served with parotta was spoiled and tasteless, clearly unfit for consumption.
Shortly after eating, I experienced vomiting sensation and headache, indicating the food was contaminated or expired.
The dish was charged at âš450, which is absolutely not justified for the poor quality and quantity served.
It is deeply concerning that such a reputed brand is resorting to serving spoiled, unhygienic food to unsuspecting customers. This not only risks public health but also damages trust.
I urge the concerned authorities to:
Conduct an immediate inspection of the restaurant's kitchen and food storage conditions.
Check whether the food being served is fresh, hygienic, and within expiry norms.
Ensure strict compliance with food safety regulations and take action against such practices.
Public health must not be compromised for commercial gain. I hope you will treat this matter seriously and take necessary steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
Thank you for...
Read moreExtremely disappointing experience â this outlet does not represent the authentic taste and quality of Junior Kuppanna.
Aatukkal Soup was average. The bones werenât cooked properly, and the flavor was missing.
Chicken Biryani & Lollipop were below average â clearly frozen chicken pieces with a strong smell.
Madurai Boneless Mutton Dry was very poorly prepared â undercooked with a bad smell.
Egg Podimas was so poorly made that I, being a fan of the dish, didnât even want to touch it.
Buttermilk was of such bad quality that I ended up vomiting.
The only good part was the extra rice, rasam, and curd. Service was another letdown. I had clearly ordered soup and lollipop as starters, and mutton and podimas as side dishes with the biryani. But the waiter brought everything at once in the wrong order, spoiling the experience. The staff seemed to be in a constant rush for no reason. It wasnât even closing time. One server even asked to bring the bill while we were still eating, which was very rude. Iâm a regular at the Gandhipuram (Coimbatore) branch, and Iâve always had great food and warm, polite service there. This Vadapalani outlet, however, is spoiling the brandâs reputation. And not just this restaurant â this seems to be a trend. Many hotels that start strong in their native town begin to lose authenticity when they open branches they can't manage properly. A humble request: donât expand if you canât maintain your original quality and service. Youâre not just opening a branch â youâre risking your brand. Definitely not recommended. I hope the management takes serious steps to improve both food quality and...
Read moreI had high expectations from this hotel, especially since it is based in Erode and I was hoping to experience the taste of my native Gobichettipalayam. Unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the worst dining experiences Iâve had.
I ordered one mutton biryani and two parottas with Madurai mutton gravy. It took nearly 20 minutes to serve, and when it finally arrived, neither the biryani nor the gravy was hot. Though the parottas were freshly made, the taste was far from what I expected.
Later, I asked for one more parotta, and the serverâs response shocked me â She said, âWill tryâ (in Tamil: âMudincha kudukurenâ). In all my experiences, Iâve never heard such a reply in a hotel. After another 20 minutes, she served the parotta, but it was not fresh and not good at all. I couldnât even finish it.
When I asked for the bill, they hadnât added the last parotta I ordered. I specifically asked them to include it, stating that I didnât want any excuses. Surprisingly, they said they couldnât add it and just said âsorry.â I wasnât looking for an apology, what I wanted was a proper dining experience, especially on my special day. Sadly, their service and food completely ruined it.
I donât expect any apologies from this hotel, as I will never prefer or recommend it in my...
