Won't trust them for bulk parcel orders. Poor customer service.... Usually the Hyderabad biriyani is really good. But today when I ordered them, it was too spicy and was embarrassed before my house guests, when they couldn't eat the biriyani and they offered to order their own food in swiggy.
I took the food back to the restaurant with the bill and told them that the food is too spicy than normal. They were not ready to replace the food and told me that I should have returned the food within 30 mins of billing time. I asked them about the 30 mins logic for the parcel food, they were not able to answer. They said they cannot accept the food and it is my fault that I returned it after 30 mins. They never accepted that the food that day was bad.
I have been there customer for more than 2 years and have recommended the place to many people. Now, I am disappointed with their customer service and will not trust them with bulk parcel orders.
Now as you can all see from the below response from Kareem's biriyani clearly highlighting their customer service standards in handling customer complaints on food quality - They are still not addressing the initial issue of food being extra spicy but still highlighting on food returned after "30 mins".
My question to Kareem's - If someone buys parcel food from your restaurant and have to travel in city traffic to reach his home and realised that the food is sub standard, he must come back to the restaurant in the same traffic to return the food. Can you tell me how this one person do that in 30 mins?? The question here is "why is the food bad", solve that problem instead of covering it up by saying " you returned after 30 mins".
Also regarding your comment on "90%" food being eaten, my dear friend - People do not open the parcel food outside your restaurant and eat it directly from the paper packaging that you give. First of all, you parcel your food in paper like this is 1970, do you expect people to serve food to their guest in your cheap packaging, they will transfer the food on to a plate and then serve it, right? If the food is found to be of poor quality, they throw the food away and take what is left in the original packaging to the restaurant for it to be checked by the chef. This is exactly what I had done. You are expecting your customer to put the food from the plate back to the package and bring it back as proof. If this is your expectations, I wonder what all will happen in the kitchen and how you are handling your food before you bring in front of the customer.
Your response has clearly shown the customers about your customer service standards.
I have been buying your Hyderabadi biriyani twice every week for the last two years. I did not want your refund my friend, but I expected some professionalism and courtesy in handling regular customers.
Thank You guys, you have done the job for...
Read moreGood day to all my fellow foodies and ardent followers,
Chennai means Biriyani and Biriyani Business means Kareem s Biriyani s Paradise Restaurant.
And Paradise is what they gave me. 🍴
Set in a busy area of United India Colony, Kodambakkam, Chennai, this outlet is cleverly placed amongst residential cum commercial properties, located at old 24 new, 6, 1st Main Rd.
Near by ATMS & other government services which makes the outlet always crowded making it easier and feasible to grab a tastefully made biriyani with some scrumptious starters.
My closest friend Anitha and myself on a Friday afternoon decided to check out this outlet after viewing the many famous YouTube Foodie videos expressing delight of good food that was devoured here.
Blame it on me or the scorching heat & sunlight of Chennai weather. My hunger levels were very much being tested upon.
The cozy yet neat ambience with the fresh smells of biriyani rice, cooked meat, and marinated masala tossed non vegetarian starters wafted through the air. It seemed to make the sun light seem like snow white.
The sounds of the kitchen, making food sessions made the place alive with the promise of getting satisfied.
We invited a few stares from the others as we were the only women amongst the many hungry biriyani men. It made me uncomfortable to Dine there and quickly made an order for packed food at the reception.
We requested the order of mutton biriyani, prawn biriyani, fish 65, prawn 65 to begin with, as a result of the owner s suggestion, who enthusiastically pitched in to deliver his best.
We eventually realized that it might be too much for two and decided to share it with my dad who s always open to new food journeys.
As we waited we ordered a paneer soda to beat the heat. And within fleating minutes of order, all the wonderful items were neatly packed and handed to us. To top it all, the best digestive aid of sweet beeda was given to us as well.
We went home, shared & ate the food which tasted too delicious for words. Hot and tasty. Just like the next door Muslim Nikkah Biriyani. I wanted to doze off. The rice was cooked perfectly along with the tender cuts of meat. The starters were crunchy outside and soft on the inside. Both of the dishes complimented each other well.
Happy to convey that, I would definitely recommend Kareem s Biriyani and keep coming to this lovely...
